I'm not sure why but I could not grasp and memorize anything I learned in class. And I think his test are pretty tricky.

He is a kind man, but I found his lectures to be very dry and long-winded. It was difficult for me to focus, so I often found myself skipping class to study the material on my own. Do all of the practice questions! I am normally an A-student, but came out with a B in this course.

My favorite lectures are from his class. He brings elements into the topics that relate specifically to something students can understand and relate to. Very helpful if you come BEFORE a test, Not after.

Pretty much, you have 4 tests each 25% & 1 "final" at the end to boost your grade. The way I managed A's on almost all tests is do the 100 question practice test for each chapter a few times before the test. Lectures weren't necessary to pass for me. Pretty easy A if you are willing to put in the work. READ THE BOOK. ALWAYS. Questions come from it!

Econ is difficult. Prof Brauer is a very smart man and sometimes expects you to know economics on his level. I don't think he even understands entry level. He tries to be helpful with his lectures but they ended up confusing the heck out of me. Stick to the book!

Dr. Brauer is an amazing professor! However, he is very difficult, and expects you to understand the basic laws of supply and demand and refers to them all semester! I didn't pass his class, but I'm glad I got to experience a class like his!

Not a hard class if you put forth a little effort. He is eager to help you understand the material. If you don't make an A, it's your own fault!

Not hard if you do the work (3 hours) required each week. I found it was easier to ignore his lectures and learn from the book as he sometimes goes offtopic or explains things differently. The HW and exams are based off the book so study that instead of lecture notes. He's a nice man and answers any questions. Brilliant guy, would take again.

Took the online class because I thought it would be a cake walk --I was wrong! You take like 20 tests and 20 quizzes/HW which have a deadline. You get two tries on the tests, and he accepts the avg of both, NOT THE HIGHER OF THE TWO. Email replies feel a bit stern as well. Take the in class version if possible, online is harder than it has to be!

I stupidly took Macro online. The book was useless. I had a 100 HW average, but it was almost as if the HW's had NOTHING to do with the tests. He would help, but I felt as if I didn't even know what to ask. I would understand everything in the book, but the tests were just impossible. 89.9 is a B and so forth. Do NOT torture yourself!

I took both ECON 2105 and 2106 with him online... You do not need to buy the book. Work with other people and have each person be a ginny pig so that you only have one bad test grade. The prof. was helpful and corrected comp. errors. I wish more courses were online(I would have more As)!

Took this as online course. VERY EASY. Course gives you four chances to do well on each quiz and two chances for every chapter exam. Even mid-term and final gives you two chances. Do well on all quizes and tests so you can exempt final. Easy to do.

His class was very hard. The book was horrible! Only good thing was that he was in his office alot, so you can ask questions. Also, the class exams and quizzes were online, so that was a plus! If you at least "try" with the online quizzes and exams, you will receive at least a C. This semester there were 13 out of 22 C's over half.

It's college for crying out loud. He makes you actually grow up and do what college is all about. You're not spoonfed in his class, as you shouldn't be in college. Study and you too will receive an A.

Provides pretests but they are little help. His tests are multiple choice but that doesn't make them easy. This class is very hard. He's a little dull, classes can get boring. If the class (as a whole) does bad on a test you get lectured/scolded as if you're a 2 year old. He's never thought "maybe it isn't the students, maybe it's the teacher"

Dr Brauer is like everyone else says. He makes you earn your grade. If you put in little minimal effort as I did, you will probably get a C or D. If your lucky... A B... like me.
