Dr. Husband is a blessing. There were multiple times this semester that real life was getting to me and I was unable to complete some of the course work. Dr. Husband was always there to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. Even when I was on the brink of tears she told me that one assignment does not devalue me in her eyes.

There are quite a lot of readings and papers, but they're mostly short and if you're taking this class you're most likely an English major. She is the absolute best. Very knowledgeable as well as helpful and interesting. Most of the class is class discussions so it doesn't get boring.

Dr. Husband is so cute! Hands down the best prof I've had at UNI so far. She makes you think about things, and is open to any interpretation! She is clear on what she expects in papers. Very approachable, kind, and caring. The reading isn't heavy, but make sure you read it and are prepared for in-class discussions!

I took Multicultural Lit with her. There's reading every night that is covered the next class. There quizzes every Friday and essay tests. Overall if you kept up with the readings it wasn't hard. She's willing to help you understand things if you have questions. :)

Take Am Lit with her if you like discussion classes. You review the selection(s) read the night before, and discuss them as a class or in small groups. Make sure you always get the reading done! She will randomly call on you in class sometimes. Papers are fairly easy. One in-class essay test and two take-home ones. Tardiness gets on her nerves!

She is an excellent professor. There is reading assigned every night but it is usually pretty easy to get through. Class participation is a must. She is not a difficult grader and she is always fair and helpful. Graded on 3 essays and 5 response papers for the semester.
