Comment:
His syllabus is a bit disorganized and it can be hard to find all of the info you need for your bi-monthly meeting prep and paper. He seemed to feel inspired and enlightened by his students, which was neat. At first the work seemed kind of overwhelming, but for the most part it's 2 hrs of work every 2 weeks, plus 1 hr of group meetings.

The class is really easy. It was only one hour once a week and you just had to skim an article before class to know what the subject matter was. He doesn't care about the quality of your work as long as you turn it in. Really easy class and actually fairly interesting too.

Very moving class. Every week focuses on a different culture, you are given readings that you must write a 1 page response to every week. The class is set up like a socratic seminar with different "experts" each week. 1 paper and 1 project. Very eye-opening class. Easy and awesome prof.

Love love love Professor Evans. Very learned and respected in his field and passionate about his lessons. Be prepared to read A LOT and speak A LOT but it gets you out of your comfort zone and you get used to it. Have had him multiple times during my teaching credential program and the material is always interesting and relevant! No textbook.

The best masters seminar I ever attended. and I don't even like social studies. His class environment was perfect engaging and respectful even though I'm not a socialist. All professors can learn from Evans how to hold a seminar.
