Professor Farias was great over the winter term. He was personable, professional and lectured in a way that was easy to understand. A quality educator in a sea of incompetence on this campus.

I totally recommend taking him for any psychology class he teaches!!! He can sometimes start talking about his family, but it always ties into the lecture. He always answers a students question as best he can, and makes his lectures more fun and relaxed! His papers are like bullet points and not pages long which was a HUGE bonus!!!

This guy is literally the most coolest professor on that campus a man that uses his life as an example in class lectures and also really funny papers are easy and text are a piece of cake just show up take notes go home

Comment:

He has no slides, and doesn't have the neatest hand writing. He goes off topic about his life story. His tests are poorly worded and on top of that, there are more than 1 answer to his tests but only 1 is correct. DO NOT BUY HIS BOOK! He never assigns readings, and he goes over whats in the book in class. He also comes 15 minutes late to class.

Comment:

Professor Farias was a pretty good teacher. His lectures are pretty interesting and he tries to keep students focused by asking a question here and there. You do have to buy a textbook and make sure to do the few papers that are given to you as hw. His quizzes are a bit tough, so make sure to study.

4 easy papers, 4 average tests. Just do your work & show up to take notes. Ppl that didn't pass or dropped were probably lazy, busy, or teen/young moms, but its honestly an easy A or B. p.s. on the first 2 weeks show up early because ppl who are on the waitlist or trying to add will take up the desks instead of sitting on the side like they should

I honestly do not know why Professor Farias has a low rating! He is so funny and relatable. I did get a C in his class but I honestly did not try that hard. I took it over winter and it was honestly a really fun class. Tests were kind of hard.

His lectures are interesting with great examples. Yeah, he might bring up his daughter but he's using real-life examples of what he teaches. The test are based on notes and what you learn in class, definitely recommend (:

Comment:

Farias is one of the best professor/teacher I have ever had in my entire 15 years of schooling. His class consists of amazing lectures and just a couple regular assignments and tests. His exams were a little difficult so you for sure have to study. Amazing man and definitely taught me things about psychology.

Nice guy and funny but a little weird. Sometimes he goes off track and starts talking about his daughter for some reason but overall solid choice for a professor.

He's laid-back to the extent it is still professional and respectable as a professor. Super simple exams. I did all my work and participated as much as I could and pulled a B. Get ready to laugh.

Just finished his class and I could say that it was very amusing and entertaining. I highly recommend his class if you wanna have a lecture and not really fall asleep. He gives you what the class is all about which is general psychology. Study for the test with the study guide he gives you and youll be fine. Once again an awesome teacher to have.

He's a good professor. Communication is key if your going to miss class email him and let him know so he doesn't drop you. His class is lecture heavy so make sure you take good notes because the test is going to reflect what he went over in class. You only have to do about four papers all with reasonable time periods.

He has no organized plan for the class, but his lectures are HILARIOUS. There are a few tests (I think 4) that will all be towards the end of the sem. bc of his messiness. There are a few 1 page essays for HW to write based on the videos he plays in class, but don't worry bc he doesn't read it. The last test and final were open book and take home!

cool teacher I had a 3 hour class thats why lectures were heavy. laid back teacher just take notes & watch videos my tests C average but I passed the class with an A cause of the papers. He doesn't even like the papers to be essays but straight to the point. Highkey boring but an easy A take it with a friend so if you miss you get the notes lol

Awesome professor, he's hilarious and easy going. His tests are tricky but as long as you go to class and study a little bit, you'll be good. The essays are easy you just watch a film and answer questions. Definitely, recommend him!

Professor Farias is amazing. His lectures are always so much fun. His tests can be pretty hard but taking the class is worth it. I took him during winter and it was hella fast. So make sure you go to class.

Professor Farías is an okay professor , Some things from the study guide were not on the Tests which was annoying if you actually studied for those topics. It was the complete opposite. I wouldnt take him again as a personal preference.
