There's a lot of things they ask you to read, but they go over everything in class. What they say is what's on the midterm. There's no homework other than one or two essays (About a page) on films you watch in class. You watch a LOT of films. If you're polite, they're understanding about outside circumstances, and have given extensions on work.

She is a horrible, rude, unhelpful teacher. She often says things that makes me think WTF. There are some super random questions on her tests and quizzes too. A question from the midterm was is it true that Gary Locke (a speaker in one of the 5 documentaries that she showed in class) said Affirmative action helped him get into college.

She is VERY sweet and funny sometimes too!! She uses videos, which surprisingly weren't painful to watch. But some of the questions on the tests and midterm were pulled out of no where. Basically you would have to study everything and lose points only on those random questions to get a good grade. If you're willing to do that, then take her.

Very nice lady but her class sucks. Some of her exam questions have nothing to do with her lectures or power points. I regret taking her. I study so much and still get 70's on her exams. If you want a good gpa, avoid this lady.

Her accent has NO effect on her intelligibility. Class is lecture based, occasional videos. Not very engaging unless you're interested in the topic/field. You MUST do the assigned readings (dry) to do well on tests (1 midterm, 1 final.) 1-2 short papers, 1 group project (demanding) are the only assignments. Overall she's helpful & a fair grader.

The worst teacher i ever met in my life. The class is completely ridiculous. She is hoping you to be Chuck Norris and answer 100 questions in midterm and final.

This was my second class with her. Very knowledgeable and intelligent professor. It is not very hard to receive an A in the class. Her exams come straight from her power points and make sure you go to class because it helps. Sit in the front so she knows who you are!!

Barely went to class and got like an 70-ish average and still got a B because the rest of the class did just as bad. The material is very easy but she's not helpful at all. Her accent is thick but understandable but her tests and powerpoints are very confusing.

Very nice person but not that great of a professor. I attended all classes and the quizzes and tests still managed to be quite hard. The average for the first midterm was a 67. This is a DEC class and a 67 average just doesn't make any sense.

Her lecture is so interesting. I love this class, since the topics are attractive for me to learn. The tests will be hard if u do not have the sample exams. But there are only one mid-term and one final, 50% each. Not that hard if u go over the previous exams.

She's not that bad, I like Asian studies so maybe I'm biased. The tests aren't that bad if you pay attention and come to class. She's available during office hours. Her accent is heavy, but you can understand her. I got a B+, should've done better, but what can you do. I personally thought it was an easy DEC. BTW NO quizzes just midterm + final.

She is sweet and nice. She can definitely get her facts wrong. If you can catch some old tests, they might be helpful. Get to know her in person, if you see her say HI, then the chances of you getting an A will increase tremendously. Make sure she learns your name so that she can give you a good grade.
