Dr. Barnett is an excellent professor. She expects you to do your best work but she's more than willing to spend time with you after class to go over any material you do not understand. You can tell that she really wants the best for her students and is there to help you become the best paralegal possible. I would recommend her to anyone!

She's very nice. She cares about her students and is always there to help you. Lecture is really boring. I soak up more info reading the book and taking notes on my own time. Tests aren't that bad but you do need to study the material to pass them. I've taken several of her online classes and I'll probably stick to those after this semester.

She is a great instructor who really cares about her students and the paralegal program. You will have to read and study, but it is not a very rigorous program if you keep up with due dates. For online classes, you have 5 units (3 chapters each) with 1 assignment and 1 test per unit (usually).

Tests are based on classwork, but there is no feedback on whether or not you got answers right. Final is based on the tests, so you'll see the same questions over and over again. You learn that you were wrong, but not what or why. I transferred to the UH Paralegal program--just as hard, but less random and frustrating.

One word that best describes the way I feel about her is "LOVE," I absolutely love her & everything she stands for! She's always there for her students 100%, if you have a problem (personal,academic or w/another professor) she's there!!

Dr. Barnett is a wonderful teacher and mentor who I respect. English is my second language and I had a very hard time in high school so coming to college and taking para-legal classes was scary. However, Dr. Barnett told me that I could do anything and then helped me achieve my dreams. Today college does not scare me because I me of Dr. Barnett.

I am an older student, who has had this instructor for several semesters, and think she is very competent and goes far beyond what is expected to help her students. In fact, I wish she were less patient, and would deal more harshly with some of the jerks we seem to get in these legal classes every semester.
