I hated her class sooooooooo much!!!! she was boring!!! her homework was easy....but the test were sooooo HARD!!! & we had 2 do this stupid project with ads it was dumb!!! but i DRPED her calss thats how much i didnt like it!!!

Dr. Lyman is amazing.i loved her class.you take notes in class but u can get them online.you watch videos & there R questions bout them on the quizzes.she gives alot of handouts too w/graphs which are on the quizzes.u dnt use the book in class but should read the ch...her final project is easy.and her grup work is easy too.easy A!!! if you try

Professor Lyman is a really cool teacher. She is very understanding, and very objective. I know she didn't agree with a lot of my views but she never put them down, she was always all about facts, not opinions, not even her own. I think she is a great teacher.

her lectures are unclear basically you teach yourself through the text book...so if you like that its a pretty easy class...i expected more from a teacher with a PHD i have had other soc. teachers that where so into their class it wsa weird

If you are able to dedicate yourself to this class it is well worth it. I used the study guide provided and got an A on every test. the study guide is straightforward and not complicated. Use flashcards and you will do even better. The many extra credit points also made this class easier. Karen is very easy to talk to and get a hold of. she explain

Basically, if your serious about your education, you will get an A in this class. Karen guides you on what needs to be done every step of the way with clarity, more than any other professor Iv'e ever had. Study guides for EVERY test, that if followed, will gaurantee a passing grade. Funny. Always available to contact. Dedicated. Fair.

Prof. Lyman was the best prof. I have ever had. She was helpful in every aspect of the calss and always asked if you had any questions so she could help you understand it . She offered lots of extra credit and graded very fairly! She was GREAT!!! She gave a very fair amount of time to turn in your work as well. I definatley recommend her!

Before requesting this class I did not know Dr. Lyman. Getting to know her was great. I had the chance to learn great things, and finding out that I have a knack for a Sociologic thinking! Thank You Dr. Lyman! See you fall of 07!

Prof. Lyman's class is very difficult - she does expect university level work. If you attend regularly, do your reading, and offered (easy) get x-tra points you will do fine. (She also allows one index card as a cheat sheet for each test.) My only complaint is that she interjects alot of her own personal/political beliefs into her teaching.
