One of the best professors I've encountered. Quite caring and funny. Easy to approach. She is extremely passionate about what she teaches, and this is evident in her lectures. Great class discussions on thought provoking topics. Easy A if you do the readings and follow the syllabus!

Professor Jackson-Brewer is a great teacher, she does her absolute best to engage her students and provide valuable information to read & digest throughout the semester. Yes, she's late but she gets straight to business when she arrives. Test require studying as any other class, so read & participate. Final paper is 5 pages, but easy to do.

She's awesome. I really learned a lot in this class. There is a lot of reading, but if you do the readings and listen when she talks, you will be just fine. Not necessarily an easy A, but the fact that the class is interesting makes it worthwhile.

If you're interested in women's or spiritual, you might like this class. Many works are required. She traveled for 2 weeks in semester and one absent, so we have 6 quizzes almost every class. So busy. Her Course description has more than 3 unexcused absence will affect your grade negatively, so our grades will become much better.

this class takes alot of work and effort. you have to attend because she gives pop quizes. the midterm was hard, but she curved it. no final but 2 papers (5 pg and 10 pg). she gives you alot of chances for extra credit. overall pretty good class

Had her for intro to africana. Want to get an A like me? Go to class, listen to what she emphasizes (literally), take notes, do the readings, and you're good to go. Exams are very easy.. you either know it or you don't. 5 pg paper (final) is very interesting and easy. Try to participate too.. makes the class SO MUCH BETTER. Highly recommend her.

Brewer is an awesome teacher. She does not blow hot air like alot of other professors. You really learn in her class. She gives you the 'behind' splitting truth, which makes you a critical thinker. The papers are easy, if you are a college level writer.

I took her class called DYNAMICS OF RACE CLASS AND SEX! She is the best prof ever!! You will learn so much about the world and yourself! She makes you question a lot of things. You have two exams and a final paper.. Sometimes she gives a pop quiz but they are all grade booster. Take her class!

I really enjoyed her class!!!! She is so intelligent and willing to help all the time. I could listen to her lectures for days!!!I loved going to class and discussing so many different issues that exist in our everyday lives. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot from Prof. Jackson Brewer. Now I am so much more aware of the "Dynamics of Race, Class, and Sex". If you take this class you learn a lot on important issues that matter. Definitely recommend this class.

She shows up late. sometimes she doesn't even show up. However,I still liked the class because it wasn't hard,she's nice, the exam was not that easy but the essays were way better especially if you can write. If you don't know how to write a paper and you don't want to read than don't take the class and drop out of school while your at it.

if you are reading this take her class. took dynamics in '94. she wants you to read, be exposed to, and learn something about your world from another viewpoint. good class discussion. you must read plenty, and write well. years later, she is one of few profs, and one of the few classes, that really stand out as a valuable part of my education.

Very engaging lecturer.2 exams which consisted of a word bank test & a 3 pg take home essay which really helped if you didn't do to good on the test. The final was a 5 page take home eassy (pretty easy). Participation in class & attendance counts. She gave us a chance to boost our grades by doing a presentation on 1 of the readings.Overallgoodclass
