Dr. Hoke is by far one of the best professors at UR!! (Honestly my favorite) Shes very sweet and truly cares about her students. The work she assigns is very manageable and she gives old tests as practice for exams so you know exactly what to expect and study. Honestly, if you put in the work and show up to class, youll likely get an A

Math 211 If you have a chance to take a class with Dr. Hoke, don't think twice about it. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had and was always there when I needed help. She has made me love calculus after having previously struggled with it.

Kathy is a great professor - she made class really easy and was always available for questions. Very clear lectures, she gives you previous tests and then her exams are basically the same exact format and types of questions. A lot of people do well though, which makes an A harder to get (usually 94+). I never took calc/pre calc and still got all As

Kathy is one of the best math professors at UR!!! Her lectures are very clear, especially for people who just take Calculus to satisfy general education requirements and math is not their hing!! She also has 3 cool projects to apply calculus on real life cases that truly taught me a lot!! If you have Kathy, you're so lucky!!!

She genuinely cares about how well you learn the material. There is always a review session before a test and if you don't do well on a test or quiz, she emails you to think about visiting her during office hours so you can better understand the material.

I struggled throughout this course, but Professor Hoke was one of the best professors I have ever had. She was always very helpful during her office hours and she went out of her way to hold review sessions before exams. Her positive attitude encouraged learning and reminded me to keep trying even when things got difficult. Very easy to get an A.

She moves pretty fast, has an incredibly thick southern accent, and posts student solutions to homeworks rather than posting her own solutions. Half the time they're not even right and it's impossible to learn off of. Tests are fair, study the homeworks.

She is a great math teacher. She goes a little too fast at times, but generally allows you to catch up. She is always available outside of class to assist you and will not let you leave until you really understand the material. her tests are fair. She is not out to trick you in any way, but just trying to make sure you are learning the material.

Professor Hoke is very helpful outside of class and tested on general information. The course was pretty easy for such a hard topic to teach. She is fair and really wants her students to do well.
