Comment:

I started the semester respecting her greatly and by the end, I hoped to get her fired. She is disrespectful, rude, spiteful, and needs to retire. It is her way or the highway so be sure to not have a differing view from hers or she will try to make you feel like an idiot. I was a straight-A student before dealing with her very unfair grading scale

Comment:

All Dragon Lady wants is for you to care about her class. Your grade is commensurate to your efforts. Do the briefs, do the readings, ask questions. Take notes like a lunatic. People who want to complain about difficulty should take a physics or chemistry class for perspective. If you want to prepare yourself for law school, this is it.

Comment:

One of my favorite classes in college. She knows a lot about what she is talking about, and is very funny and engaging. You need to go to class and pay attention to the content for exams.

I have never been more stressed out in a class than in the class I took with Dr. Waggoner. This woman is terrifyingly arbitrary when it comes to grading, she clearly wanted to teach at a law school but was entirely underqualified. The scariest part of her classes is the uncertainty, if you have an anxiety issue stay away from this woman

If you wanna go to law school take all of her classes she offers. You will be challenged, and question if you really do love the law. If you don't wanna go to law school don't waste her time that she can be using on other students that need the preparation to succeed in Law School.

Do not take this class unless you want to go to law school someday. She is very hard! You never really know what grade you have in this class since she does not post anything to blackboard or tell you. She wants her students to show that they care so you have to go to class and do the extra credit or else you probably won't pass. Exams are hard!!!

She is very serious. She assigned 100 pages of reading in one night and expected us to know all of it. Took a quiz and failed it. Dropped her class. Final is 45% of grade. Super hard class.

I've taken POLS 319, POLS 320, LAS 362X, and LAS 350D with her. She has helped me immensely to prepare for law school and I'd still be taking classes with her if she taught more. She has her JD and PHD so she knows what's going on. You'll learn so much from her-go to class and put effort in and your grade will reflect it, she curves and gives EC.

I get that she is good and helpful, but deam is better. I can't get over that she told me to shut up because she had more degrees than me. Do not lord your degrees over me. Help me. It is unprofessional to tell me it has been a busy semester and my words are useless due to your "education"

Best teacher of my life. The class was hard, and I almost did not make it past the first few week, but she cared. One of the few prof. that cared, and not just because it was her job. So yes the class are hard, that is because it is real. You earn your grade and an experience I will have for the rest of my life.

Dr. Waggoner is very intimidating. She has high expectations and expects students to known the material. If you are not going into the police force or going on to be a lawyer, I would not recommend taking the class. If you take this class follow what she says and begin working on the paper EARLY!! You will learn A LOT!!

I have to say I am bias, she is one the best persons and professors I have ever came to know. When you think of the best qualities you want in a person and a professor she is it. I model myself after her and wish to become half the teacher she is. Student first, politics last.

I love Dr. Waggoner. She genuinely cares about her students and her grading is based on your hard work and your improvement. She teaches using the socratic method and doing so helps you remember the subject and the important things. However, you should pay really close attention in lecture. Most of the vital information is from her word of mouth.

A realy great teacher. Tells you straight up that the grade depends on your hard work, which is what college is about anyways right? Great lectures and slides and loads of extra credit. If you read the textbook, only $20 dollars at copyworks, and go to class you will be fine. She does expect you to know the material though. No bullsh*tting on tests

Probably my favorite teacher at ISU, if you follow the rules, put as much effort into studying and understanding the materials as she does in teaching you will be fine, she is definitely worth taking but be ready to do work this will dominate your semester that is for darn sure, and lots of cases to read AND understand.

Only graded on two papers. Expects significant amount of work from students. Gives feedback longer than the papers you write. Expects you to work the entire semester on writing these papers. Seems like an expectation of Graduate level work. Also complains about co workers and issues with co workers on a daily basis.

Difficult. Papers that are 10 pt font, 15 pages 1 1/2 spacing adds up to 32 pages on a normal 12pt double spaced paper. So if you don't have a lot of time to devote to the class don't take it. Also requires a lot lot lot of reading and research to understand what you are going to write about.

definetley one of the most difficult classes I've ever taken. She's tough but fair and and will totally care about your success. Her tests are analytical and hard, but I'll for sure feel more prepared for law school because of it.
