Podwall is very old and most of the time what she's teaching doesn't make much sense, but the textbook and her hand outs are very clear. She offers A LOT of extra credit-it works well into your grade. If you ask questions after class she's way more helpful than how she is in class. Use the extra credit opportunities!

She's very nice and funny. But she really is a horrible teacher. She rambles way too much about nothing. When she writes the quizzes they are so unclear and I can't read what she's writing. She was absent the class before our final, she doesn't cover what's asked, and she told us to study all the vocab and none of it was on the final. STAY AWAY!

She gives every opportunity for you to do well. Take advantage of doing the homework, extra credit and optional assignments. Goes over exactly what will be on exams, although sometimes questions are worded in a confusing manner. She seems a little kooky to most but I can assure you that she takes note of who cares about the class and who doesn't.

she is crazy. shes not mean or anything but you honestly do not learn a thingg in that class. shes insanly boring because she just goes on and on about her life and by the time she gets back to her point, shes just confused you even more. shes funny though and not to hard of a class as long as you ask her questions and read the textbook.

Prof. Podwall is honestly not that horrible of a teacher. Yes, she rants and raves about stuff that is irrelevant, but if you do the work and study for your midterm/final, you will do fine. If you do the extra credit, you get boosted at least 1 grade. Take-home quizzes and homework had unclear questions-make sure you double check with others.

worst professor i ever had at college, i think i know more of her stories about her adventures to different zoo's in America in her station wagon with the wood panels, more than i learned about biology. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, IT IS PAINFUL !!!!

i have nothing against her as a person. But i feel like her teaching needs alot of improvement. Her lessons were unclear, and the tests seemed to come out of nowhere.The only thing she did that was good, was giving you the oppurtunity to correct your test after you take it. I really regret taking her class

she should not be teaching! She talks too much about herself and at the last 10 minutes of class, she attempt's to teach. If you have a spelling error she takes a 1/2 point off your grade for any mistake and goes crazy if you don't use white out. Please do not take her class. Go with someone you can actually pass with.

Please tell her to stop discussing her whole life story, because we do not care, and to actually teach us about Biology. I took the class because i was interested in learning about animals and other biology topics but all she talked about was herself and her family and her friends and random people she knew throughout her life. Ms Podwall is the craziest human being in the world, and not in a cute way. She is literrally out of her mind, the entire class would just be creeped out the whole time while she told boring disturbing long stories in a thick chicagan accent. she knows her stuff, but you wont after this class.
