Comment:

Katja is an amazing, she's the best biology instructor ever. Her partial notes helped me a lot. Having graduated high school 20+ years ago, I was quite worried about Anatomy and Physio., but, she helped me understand it. She also taught me a study plan that really enabled my understanding of the course contents. I highly recommend her class.

Comment:

Katja's devotion to helping her students succeed is one of her greatest aspects. She is a respected professor with a book to her name, but is willing to make the extra effort to make sure that all of her students are able to do their best. She is the embodiment of what a teacher should be. I hope get another teacher like Katja, but I probably won't

She is one of the best professors I've had so far. Her lectures are organized & stays on track. She is extremely caring and wants you to pass. She tries her best to meet up with her students despite her busy schedule. She is passionate about what she teaches and if you do your part as a student and ask for help when you need it, you will do great.

Didnt like teaching style. Hard to pay attention to, lecture was dry af. Voice is hard to listen to. Fill in the blank notes off powerpoint. Good if u already know what ur doing, terrible if u dont know what ur doing and actually need to be taught the material. If u dont understand in class, text is not help cause she wrote it. No social skills.

Katja is one of the best professors that I have ever had. She is unbelievably knowledgable in the field of biology, and her teaching ability is superior. Katja's lectures are informative. Her passion for the material makes class enjoyable to attend! She is dedicated to her students success! She answered many questions, and was very approachable

Notes are disjointed & lacked clarity. Her lecture notes are "fill in the blanks" so you waste time trying to fill in the blanks as she is talking. When you seek help, she just reiterates what is said in her lectures. A good teacher is able to explain concepts utilizing various methodologies. I had high hopes but she does not know how to teach.

Katja is such an amazing prof!! I have never met someone who cares so much about their students, and who genuinely wants them to do well. she was always easily accessible by e-mail and would always make time to help you if needed. I love her 1220 class so much that I chose a less favourable class time for 1221 just so I could have her again!

Katja is a fantastic prof. Her knowledge in biology is very clear and she rarely gets confused or mixed up during her explanation about concepts. She really emphasizes important material, which is helpful on tests. She knows how to include real life situations and clinical practices regarding the biology!

Anatomy & physiology was a content packed course & required a significant amount of effort but her genuine interest in student success makes it possible to excel! Katja's lectures were fast paced & full of valuable material. Her guided notes were clear, concise & very helpful for exam prep. Katja was easily accessible by email to clarify concepts.

Absolutely the most amazing instructor I've ever had in my many years of university!! You won't find any prof more knowledgable or caring!! Very tough course, but if you put in the time & effort and have Katja for an instructor you can do really well!! Thank-you Katja for providing me with a great foundation for my Nursing career!!

Katja has a passion for teaching and works very hard to explain things in a way that helps students to understand it, not just memorize. She uses lots of pictures. This course is hard, you have to work for it with any professor, but Katja made it make sense. I loved her lecture style and her notes. She co-authors the textbook! Best prof I have had.

Makes you do worksheets, you spend more time trying to fill them out then listening to what she is saying, waste of time, ineffective, disjointed notes with no context, scattered, I took this class in fall term and the only way I could succeed was to read the text since both lecture and notes were not helpful. I had to show up for clicker questions
