Your grade depends on how you do on your tests and final. He assigns homework but it's not mandatory, however I recommend doing it so if you have questions he will answer them in the next class. There were times that he did not finish problems and sometimes confused me. Memorizing laws and formulas helped

Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. I have never been really great at math but he makes it so easy to understand and he will keep teaching you until you get it, he doesn't just move on if you don't get it, speak up cause he will take his time teaching you so you understand. Very funny and friendly, kinda unorganized but still great

He is the best math professor I've ever had. He has a gift for simplifying a problem without becoming condescending. He teaches math in a way that actually makes sense and he shows you WHY it makes sense. (Also, if you can get him to talk about pineapple on pizza, you're in for a good time). I cannot recommend him enough.

I struggled a lot with math before, but Johnson's teaching was thorough and easy to follow. Johnson made me enjoy math again which is saying a lot! Homework is optional and is not graded, but is great practice. Grades are based on 4 tests and a final. He is easygoing and will answer any questions you have.

If you like to just do the math, DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is good for students who learn by understanding concepts. Class is based 100% on exams, which is ridiculous. He leaves problems on the board unfinished. I went mostly every day and took rigorous notes but I suck at tests so I failed the class. Boy next to me cheated on tests and passed

Very knowledgeable in both math and physics, and conveys the ideas of both subjects extremely well. That being said, his way is a little different than the book, but follow his ideas and methods and you'll better understand the reasoning behind the textbook's way. Five Tests and a cumulative final, do the homework assigned (it's great practice).

Professor Johnson is a great math teacher. He teaches math in a way that is easily understood, and he goes slow enough so students do not fall behind. If you are familiar with this subject, the class will be a breeze. I recommend him to anyone, especially if you struggle with math. He is very nice, friendly, open to questions, and a wardrobe genius

The best Math teacher I've ever had! If you want formulas he is not the teacher for you but if you want to understand concepts and what a problem is really asking he is just amazing. Do you homework (not required) and ask lots of questions and you should be fine.

Johnson is an amazing teacher! He cares for his students and is eager to help. Homework is not required but you should do it. He breaks concepts down very clearly and simply which is very helpful, but he doesn't teach through the book and if you look to the book for help you may be more confused as it is often completely different, take notes!

Johnson teaches at a slow enough pace so everyone fully understands when, where, and why the next step happens with various types of equations. He encourages class participation, by shouting the correct answers. HW/night, but never due. Each class is the same: go over any HW questions, break, then lecture. Grade is averaged from 4 Tests/Final.

Johnson has a unique way of teaching when it comes to math and physics. I really like the approach since he tries to teach you by using a basic idea or formula to reach a more complex idea or formula and then applies it to homework problems and throughout lectures. He can be quite scatterbrained, but he wants everyone to have a good experience.

Took him a few years back. Johnson is a great professor. If he had his own school, I would enroll right away. And then he could teach every single subject and I'd take them all--other than English though. He has his own space center in Texas so that's a good enough reason to take him. And he hates oranges.

Prof. Johnson is a nice guy. With that being said, I felt that he did NOT prepare me for Math 105. Sometimes scatterbrained but over all a nice guy. No homework is required but I feel that's a bad thing. Tests are ok.

Pros: Mr. Johnson is a nice guy and will make you laugh. Cons: He teaches his own ways of doing math. if you need step by step for math, hes not the teacher for you. His pre-test are almost usless, he will try to puck the hardest problmes out of the homework, with a twist. I have earned A's in all my math classes but his. Hard to understand method
