Unclear when it comes to what will be on the tests. Although she sents study guides, tests include much more material. Didn't use a text book so the tests were strictly off of her lectures and the novels we read. She is hilarious!!! Hard to not make a good grade in her class. I def would take her again!

Overall the class was okay. She is very liberal and you will like it if the language she uses don't get on your nerves. In terms of the final, she was very unclear on both the date that the paper she issued was due and I guess she was confused with the paper requirements she assigned. I personally will never ever take any of her classes ever again

Dr. James is hilarious! Her lectures are never boring and she cracks jokes all the time!You have to read the book on your own time because she doesn't use it in class and take notes as well and you should be fine! I would take her agai if I could!

Dr. James is great. She is hilarious and really knows what she is covering in class. Her lectures were NEVER boring and she dosen't worry about offending anyone which makes her introductions to new topics clear and easy to understand. If you take sociology 101 get her!!

VERY funny! Refers to herself as "biggie". Really enjoyed her class. Make sure you write stuff down though. She may seem like she is just chit chatting but it is information you will need. and READ your book. Also if you get offended easily then do not take. She does give you the opportunity to have study sessions with her before tests.

She is a good teacher easy to learn from. She makes the class interesting. But don't take her if you are offended by crude humor or offensive language because that is an everyday occurance in her classroom. It is definitely an experience. Dont get caught texting.

Overall great professor, have to read book and listen to lecture for test. Provides easy extra credit. Reduces tension by laughter. You learn alot. Only negative aspect is the cursing, that's offensive and fairly frequent for a professor.

If there are better professors than Old Doc J than I have yet to meet them. She is hilarious and makes some of her best comments under her breath, so sit close or you'll miss them.
