She is awful to anyone who answers questions or contributes in class. She will straight up shut down people based on their opinions. She can be so rude to her students but overall she is a nice person. Her class is easy but she gives late notice on essays and tests. Can be a very boring lecturer, but she's a better teacher than most.

If you have an opinion be sure to make it smart or she will shut you down, fair grader and will help if needed. Grades hard on essays but is willing to work with you, isn't very clear on essays and there are two so be prepared. Overall good teacher and great personality, funny and takes you to see plays when they are available. Would take her again

She helped me with a lot of things as a student in her class. Having her as a professor was a very positive experience for me. She believed in my potential and was very patient with my failures and helped me to improve in my writing skills. I loved the critical productive conversations we would have on the literature in class.

Took her for an upper elective english course, believe it was American literature. It wasn't the toughest class i've taken at VC, nevertheless, she is a tough grader and voices her opinions on her favorite authors quite outspokenly-- and she will also tear yours down. Nevertheless, class was good, one group project, two papers, show up!

Ms. Peinado is an excellent teacher. She gives you, as a student, every opportunity to succeed. If I could find any fault is her it is only 1 thing. In the scope of her teaching that is less then 1%. The other 99% is fantastic. Its that she lets the class get out of hand occasionally and that tends to disrupt the learning process. Do the work A.

I loved this class. She was an amazing teacher. Very helpful. Also very fiesty in a good way! Show up. Be on time. Must get books. Also participate! A couple of things I didn't like was not being able to use your phone, leave early, and not being able to sit where I wanted... Other then that it was a good class!

The book is literally Satan so bring a rope to drag it around with you. Will give you feedback and expects class participation, is sort of tough on Essays but will try to help you improve your grade if it's bad. Does come off as "I don't want to offend you but.." just be cautious of that even if she does encourage your opinion, make it smart.

Lots of online quizzes. If a student is absent more than 5 times she will lower your final grade by a whole letter. She does not care about her students. Even if you know in advance you are going to miss class she won't let you turn in an assignment online, or early.

It isn't hard, you have to work for your grade. Show up and you'll do just fine. Nevertheless, be warned, her opinions are king, there is hardly any room for you to voice yours... unless you want it torn apart.

This class was horrible. She doesn't help you with anything, the grading is really hard, when you have discussions in class she pretty much says you're wrong and she's right, and she will get mad at you for almost anything! literally one of the worst teachers I've ever had. If you have to take her class you're pretty much planning your funeral!

There's a reading assignment before every class. In class she hands out questions about the reading, and puts students in groups to discuss. The last 20 minutes you'll discuss as a class. No actual lessons, ever. She attacks students opinions in front of the class. If you don't like constant small group discussion this class is not for you.

Literally one of the worst teachers I've ever had in my life. She grades harshly, doesn't give clear instructions, and makes class extremely boring. She will ask for your opinions on a topic and then tell you you're wrong or challenge it so her opinions seem right. Seemed to care in the beginning of the class but as the semester dragged on (in-class discussion is really boring), she failed to deliver to bring out interest in students. Uses the book quite a bit. Great teacher!! Took her last semester. She uses the book a lot at first but doesn't after. She's great with homework and let's you turn in essays late. I reccomend you take this teacher if you want to pass English 3.
