Mr. Davis was really nice. He gave study guides that were exactly like the test. But OMG the class was sooooo boring. I'd rather take an organic chemistry before I'd re-take MUL. He grades pretty hard on the concert reports. My advice, if you're taking MUL as a humanities/fine arts elective, take art or drama. NOT this!

I loved this class... I would take no one else. He went off subject sometimes but it was worth it. Funny and very helpful. (added bonus he is easy on the eyes too) LOTS of bonus points. (don't bother with buying the book not worth it)

He gives the best study guides and a tone of bonus points! usually about 20 bonus pnts per test and the study guide is almost identical to the test. the hardest part is the listening but with 20 bonus points it really isn't bad!

you dont have to come to class. he gives a study guide which is identical to the test.have to do some listening, but he tells you what to look for to identify them. also be prepared to attend some concerts and do small reports. takes some time, but as long as you have words on paper you get all points possible. easy class...take him!

Comment:

Not being a music major gives you a different perspective on music appreciation. Mr.Davis made this class entertaining as well as educational. I thoroughly enjoyed his "behind the scenes" look at the habits of our famous composers. He tells you what to expect on his test. It's up to you to put in the time studying-if you do, you will do well.

Comment:

This guy made his test pretty easy for the most part comapred to other teachers. Memorization of definitions and a some listening to music not to bad. had a good grading system and gave extra credit toward the end of the year on the test.
