He is a funny man but he cares about no one. His lectures are a breeze but his tests are completly unexpected. He says it will be on one thing, but tests you on something else. Easy B, IMPOSSIBLE A, unless you're just really lucky.

Comment:

Took for ecology and nutrition, he is the man and I highly recommend him. Spends half the class cracking jokes and ripping on whoever's in the news that day, very sarcastic and funny, some find him offensive though. Tests are all notes, show up to class and listen and you'll do fine. Don't bother buying textbooks either, he doesn't use them.

the man's a comedian. his classes r 1/3 standup & random sports/political talk & 2/3 notes/transparencies. i have him for nutrition & general ecology & neither textbook has been useful. honestly his tests r plain stupid but not impossible, plus his grade r all made up based on how the yankees did so just be friendly with the guy. coast for a B.

extremely easy...the only reason i passed bio at all was because of my lab grade...tests are extremely easy as long as you study somewhat...answers any questions and labs usually dont last more than an hour...great teacher

This guy is definitely a good professor and an even better person. He tells funny jokes and is a very nice man. His tests are right from the notes and as long as you study, you will do very well. The class is very easy and definitely worth learning about.

His tests are extremely difficult and they are hard to study for. He tells you in general what the material will be on it, but honestly there are irrelevant questions on the test. Grades consist of 2 papers, 4 quizzes and a final that was the most difficult exam in the class. By all means this class isn't as easy as you would think it is.

Not a great teacher!! Does not use book at all, seems like all exams are from any notes that he gives and transparencies he puts up. If you take the class, make sure you take notes. Nice guy but makes it very boring. There are 4 quizzes (takes best 3) and comprehensive final. NOT EASY!!! AVOID!!

Hes not as hard as people make him seem. If you study you'll be fine! Tests are ridiculously hard for ecology but easy for nutrition class. I failed one exam really badly and still got a B+ in the course! he does get boring but take notes! his tests are straight from his verbal notes! take him, hes not that bad, tries to make it fun stuff.

I had Dr. Lowell for General ecology. He was entertaining, informative, and approachable at the end of class. It was the kind of class that I looked forwarded to attending and would have topics to think about and discuss with my friends. I highly recommend this class if you are going to school to learn and not simply earn a piece of paper.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! he does not give back any papers or tests so you can't even see how you are doing. all he talks about is gas prices and bush so you just have to know the stuff that comes out on his tests. no matter how hard you study or how good you take your notes, random questions still come up on the test that were not even discussed.

you dont have to go to class on time because he wastes about 30 min talking about nothing at the beginning of each class. the class wasnt too bad. his tests were kinda hard but he curves alot. if you take good notes you shouldnt have a problem.

the laziest teacher I ever had. He did not return a single test or paper that I handed in. I had no idea how I was doing in his class. He gave a take home test the week of the final (in addition to studying for the final) A waste of my time.
