Comment:

Overall good professor. The beginning of class is usually a short lecture, which can get a bit boring, but the second half was always an activty or fun experiment. He is a hard grader but is understanding and will let you fix assignments. He really wants you to learn, take him!

This class is mostly online. You only have to go to class the first day and on your demo day. The quizzes in each chapter are online. If you do one chapter a week its an easy read, easy 10/10 on your quiz, and your on to the next thing - definitely read the chapter prior to the quiz though, it helps.

Avoid him at all costs. He's beyond rude. He never makes time for you if you have a question, even during office hours, and he acts like he's too good to talk to you. He's completely unclear and such a hard grader it's ridiculous. I don't understand how he ever became a teacher.

Professor? Not so much. I learned nothing from him. He did not prepare me for the real world. He was rude and would not listen to anything we had to say. He was absolutely no help at all. He answered my questions with questions. He had favorites and graded judging if he liked you or not. Worst "professor" ever! I would never recomend him

A great teacher and man. I didn't like the overall course and he could be dreadfully boring, but I still learned from it. He didn't administer a single exam. If you work hard and are very careful about avoiding stupid mistakes (typos, etc) you will do just fine.

This class was so boring, but alas, it's required. Pretty much everything is handed to you, so it's an easy A. Make sure you look at the rubrics before submitting your assignments because he is pretty picky in that regard. Textbook is NOT needed at all.

Some classes are boring lecture, some are fun experiments. His grading can be unfair;he gets very picky. He lets you redo one assignment, then on the next assignment he said noone could improve their grade bc there was no time. Unfair! Also, no tests or quizzes, so lecture is basically pointless...and he farted in class.

Finson is a good teacher. He can be a little picky with grading, but the assignments are worthwhile. I learned more in this class than in most other methods classes. I would take him again!

Excellent teacher. He never gets enough credit for how much he actually cares for his students. He looks like Milton from Office Space and the material can be kinda dry but he teaches it well.

Dr. Finson is a great guy; he truly exhibits lots of "Best Practices". However, he also was a little bit confusing with some of the projects and how he graded them. I would recommend taking him, but be prepared for some questions....

I have no doubt in my mind that he is a great man, I just never had a great experience with him. He is a hard grader, his handwriting is illegable and he will never answer a question about a grade in class-it's kinda frustrating. He frustrates me. He is passionate about what he does though.

His first project either you got an A or F. He doesn't explain projects that well. NOT EASY A class! He told us over half way into class to START a journal and recond stuff from everday in class! His test was to long... Take Dorthy Ohlman or Uebler.

Dr. Finson was not only a great teacher, but a truely great individual. His love for teaching really shows. Any class you can have him for be sure to take it!
