Paul Robinson is a lovely man. Cares about aesthetics of proofs, and YOU. Talk to him for 5 minutes and you'll feel like he knows you personally. Lectures are amazingly lucid. Keeps the audience involved. He's pretty funny. Has a strange obsession with moths.

Comment:

Great lecturer, makes a difficult subject very easy to understand. Grades are based entirely on 4 exams, but he gives you everything you need to pass each exam. Best math professor/class I have ever had, 10/10.

Very knowledgeable guy. For Diff EQ, the class was based on 4 exams. He gave out practice tests for each exam that were pretty similar to the real exams. Not a hard class.

Comment:

Great prof. He is very knowledgeable and explains the subjects very well. The entire grade was made up of 4 equally-weighted tests, and you only had to answer 4 of the 5 questions on each test. Homework was optional but necessary in order to do well. He also made an effort to get to know everyone's names in class and got students to participate.

I believe Dr. Robinson is the best maths teacher I have ever met. I feel blessed to have attended a class taught by him. After attending his classes, I started loving mathematics.

Dr. Robinson is probably the best math teacher I have ever met. Thought the course material is extremely hard for me, but he really made it crystal clear. And the grading is quite fair

Comment:

Awesome professor. Dr. Robinson is great at explaining things clearly. This is a tough class especially if you don't have the background for it, but it's very fun. It's like intense weight-lifting for the mind. He's always ready to help students if they're having trouble grasping a concept, and his tests and homeworks are very fair.

An all-round great prof. He really explains the concepts well. BEWARE though: don't be fooled by the first two tests in S&L because they are easy. If you "rest on your laurels," as he says, on the two last exams, you will regret it. It will get stepwise harder as the class goes on. By stepwise, I don't mean linearly harder, I mean stepwise.

Extremely clear and concise. I had him for sets and logic, which isn't an incredibly difficult class, but he may be the best math professor I've had so far and I would definitely recommend him for anything.

The course was different/harder than I expected, but he's a great professor who wants you to learn the material. He's always willing to answer questions or explain something in a different, or simpler, way if you ask him. I would definitely suggest him to anybody.

Extremely clear in lectures. Always kept the class involved. Made everything interesting. Very willing to help in office hours. The only bone I'd pick with him at all is that, even after being able to choose which problems to do on an exam, one problem would still be very difficult and time was an issue. Otherwise? He's an amazing teacher.

Cleanly executed lectures. Never falters. Does not have to concentrate on proofs while he is teaching, instead coolly seems to watch for when the students assimilate what he is saying. Asks the right amount of questions to class. British accent.

He's so excited over the history of math! Very easy to understand and he cares for his students.I'd reccommend taking any class offered by him.
