At the beginning, she makes it seem like her class is difficult but once you get the hang of her style, it's easy to obtain a solid mark. First, there are many small assignments and quizzes so because of that, one bad assignment will not hurt your grade. Also her tests are simple. Overall she wants every student to succeed in learning Japanese.

Furuta sensei is a great teacher and she is very clear with her instructions. She gives many small quizzes so nothing is heavily weighted and shes a big fan of half marks. You will have assignments and quizzes almost every week.

Furuta sensei is a kind and awesome teacher. She is very well planned and organized, she makes sure that everyone and everything is clear. While the load of course is heavy but then again her organization of material and study helps makes it better and easy. She is genuine person to talk about any difficulties you might face in or outside the class

Kimi is extremely clear in her classroom, assignment, and exam expectations. I really enjoyed being in her class, but it was tons of work (as is the case with all language classes). While she can be a tough grader, she is also really kind.

Makes it undeniably crystal clear exactly what we are expected to know, when assignments are due, what we must know for the quiz and how to learn it. she takes full advantage of the moodle and has tones of links and resources. She is incredibly helpful and amazing! You will need to buy the workbook and supplemental materials. they're important!

Very well organized and helpful; lots of work to do so you have to be prepared that this course is not as easy as it seems if you don't have any Japanese background. Yet if you work hard you'll learn a lot from this class. Totally recommend for whoever's interested in Japanese.

Furuta-sensei is awesome! I was really into Japanese before but now I know so much more about the language itself, and not just words here and there. She's pretty hard and gives tons of homework, but the in-class activities we do really help a LOT overall. Definitely recommended if you're interested in a language course.
