Comment:

Gives a moderate amount of work, I know music so I didn't really need to study at all. All answers are in the book, her voice lectures or online for the timed quizzes. The downloadable lectures are her actually talking which helped a lot. Offers extra credit and you have to attend 2 concerts and write "critiques". Easiest A+ I've ever gotten!

So much work to be done in so little time. Study guides are all over the place and she asks about 7 questions in one question so be prepared to not have a life and focus your entire life on these study guides. I had another class that was actually in the field Im studying and I had no time to work on that. I'm not a music major. Painful class

Miss Seaton was great, very easy "A". Even if you handed in assignments late she would give you full credit. There were a ton of extra credit opportunities. As long as you read the textbook you would do amazingly well in that class.

I took an online music appreciation class with her. She makes you do a ton of work which she proceeds not to grade for a week or two. Her study guides are long and questions are awkwardly phrased. Her tests sometimes don't have all the listening examples needed to answer the questions. Overall, too much work for a non-music major like me.

Music is perhaps one of my least favorite subjects but with a professor like professor Seaton, this class is easily one of my favorites. She is great at responding to questions and is very personable. The class work can seem overwhelming but is manageable. Her lectures definitely help so I recommend listening to those! Overall, great class.

Kira is wonderful! VERY demanding of her students but 100% there to help and support each and everyone of them. If you don't do well in her class, it's your own fault for not trying hard enough. NOT a class for those who just want an "easy A" you won't find it here or in any of her classes. She's there for those that want to learn!
