She is a super nice lady! but I was not thrilled with her teaching. Her notes are literally straight from the book so it is hard to get a separate reference to compare/explain. Her quizzes and tests are way harder than the book problems/in-class problems. She doesn't answer all of your questions.

I didn't particularly like her or her teaching style. She wasn't helpful during office hours, and she teaches things that aren't even in the textbook for the class. Take bizier.

I didn't particularly like her teaching style. Notes were nothing like the quizzes given or the tests. Swartz had to re teach me everything she taught, since her notes were kind of confusing. Would recommend Ward over her.

I learned everything in class, used the PLTL sheets every week, and didn't even do the book suggested problems and still got an A. She is wonderful

Very nice woman, but not so great of a teacher. The whole lecture time was copying the notes she wrote on the overhead as fast as you can before she flipped the page. How can anyone learn the material when the whole time is spent keeping up with her notes? Take her class seriously! use old tests and quizes to study. They are much harder than the no

Make sure you do the book's chapter ?'s from the beginning and go to Dr. Fries with problems- she is very willing to help and if you keep up with it, the material is not too bad. It helps to do all the practice tests in advanance & ask questions -if you can do those, the tests will be no problem.
