Comment:
This class was by far the most ridiculous GE econ course anyone could ever take. She does not explain half of the things she writes on the board in the lecture. The graphs she draws are so hard to understand and she barely explains anything. She does offer extra credit, but if you don't do well on her 2 tests (you won't do well) your grade tanks.

I loved her as a teacher but her class style was not my favorite. She has 10 Extra credit pop quizzes where she provides the answers (a grade boost). The thing I didnt like is that the tests are very heavily weighted in the class which was about 70% and I felt there could have been more participation assignments to help better retain the material

Professor Flynn was the worst professor I have had at IVC. She is not passionate about economics whatsoever, starts 15 minutes late, and doesn't teach like a college professor. Her grading is ridiculously lenient and you get full points just for submitting assignments. Way too easy and extremely boring. Take for easy A, don't take for knowledge.

Worst Professor in IVC! I did not learn anything in her class, and the reason I did well in her class is that I have a strong foundation from Econ 1 and her extra credits. If you are an Econ major, DONT TAKE HER CLASS!

Before the exam Professor Flynn provides us the study guide and everything is on the study guide. She provides quizzes which is extra credit that worth 2 points per quiz. Also, for the homework, she sees effort more than the right answer. If you just do the homework and turn it in, you get full credit even though the answer is wrong.

Easy class. Gives very clear lectures and everything she writes on the board you should write as well (it's not that much). Gives study lists, exams are definitely not designed to trick you. She straight up tells the class she wants everyone to get an A. Quizzes are extra credit so you can get a B on an exam and still have an A in class. Take her.

I love Laura and she is so nice that her lectures are easy to understand. She gives clear notes to help you understand the concepts. She also fives quizzes but easy to get full credits. If you take notes and learn the study guide you would get A easily.

took her summer microeconomics class and found it to be easily passable even if you do poorly on the tests. You can complete the hw and pass for trying. The only thing about this class are the tests. If you want at least a B, you have to really study otherwise don't worry about passing.

Attend every class so you wont miss the pop quiz! I took her micro and macro and got A for both of them. Homework are based on your efforts. Usually got 100% if you do your homework and submit on time. Exam based on her notes and homework problems but pretty easy Make sure youre clear on every concept before the exam and you can do well. Loveher

Professor Flynn is pretty easy going, I took her class for Micro Economics. The note taking style is simply board and pen for almost all the lectures. Homework is pretty minimal and there's lots of extra credit. The only thing which was difficult is the exams, she doesn't make her own questions, but instead takes them from elsewhere. Work Pass

Fairly standard economics professor. Offers a lot of extra credit for showing up to class so make sure you attend. Exams weren't too difficult. She will go over what is on them the day before. The only complaint I have is her wording of questions on exams can be confusing. Still, I would recommend taking this class

I took her econ 2 class over the summer and got an A. Her tests are pretty easy and her lecture is very clear. She also gives extra credit points that you can easily get if u attend class. The only thing is she's not that friendly when it comes to people asking her questions.

An okay professor. Problem was a bit too direct with information and explanations on graphs were a bit too broad and fast. I would recommend this teacher for those who have good understanding of economics and want an easy A to have her. If you don't understand Economics that well, at least there's a textbook rec from her.

Professor Flynn's lectures did not help much on the exams nor did the textbook help. Textbook was just for homework. Exams were poorly written and some material was not covered in lecture. This resulted to my class's average on exams to be 47% or less. If you want an A, take it with someone else. I was supposed to get a D but she gave me a C

She gives pop quizzes for extra credit that are based on lecture notes. Even if you get it wrong, she gives you full credit for putting something. Same applies to her hw, as long as you do it, you get full credit. She'll let you turn in one hw late. Tests are kind of poorly written, but you can pass as long as you do hw and pop quizzes.

I recommend taking this course only if you have to retake the course, minimal studying every week will give you at least a passing grade. This class is not for econ majors

Prof Flynn's class is pretty lenient and easy to understand. She is very clear about the expectations on tests and easy to get a good grade. However, her lecture is pretty below the level of what college students should be learning. Just introducing concepts of the topic but never get all the way into principles, which makes the class boring.

She understands that the people in her class are not taking Econ bc it is thier major.. but bc it is required for a pre-req, so she only teaches you what you NEED to know. She stresses to not make the subject more difficult by not looking too much into the theories. She also reccomends to not read some chapters in the book as they can become confus
