Comment:

If you ask for extra credit, she can accommodate you if you ask reasonably. She tends to cancel class a lot. Sometimes she cancels classes to hold office hours so that you can have one and one with her. Use the ACE writing specialist and she'll basically read your paper and fix it for you. This class has a lot of work, but it's very easy. 11/10

Comment:

Easy class but make sure you follow the syllabus and her emails. She is a little bit of a harsh grader if you don't talk about the material we talked about in class. Make sure you include her lectures in class. She is extremely approachable is she does not yell at you for stupid questions. 11/10 recommend.

Here class is easy if you just keep up with all her emails and the syllabus. There are 5 1-pager essays, and four short paper essays. She counts participation and if you did the list of co-curricular activities. Her syllabus seems like a grind but I promise you it's not. Everything is pretty simple. Sometime for class we just talk about our day

Professor Hazard is extremely knowledgeable about the course content, probably because it's almost all based around her book, but she's really into it which makes it enjoyable. Lots of papers but they're easy & she's really caring about each students success

Comment:

For GFCL Laurie Hazard forces with the busy work, but her class is relatively easy. You barely have to show up, and she cancels often. All you have to do is the work and put some effort in. Compared to the other options for GFCL this class would be the most lenient. Final is a paper and presentation, very doable course and good for self-growth.

A lot of work to be done in this class but it is completely manageable if you use your time wisely. She can get annoying at times because she thinks that all of her students care about what she likes/dislikes and on top of that, like I said, her work load is heavy. Very good professor tho and would take her again

One of the best professors at Bryant, lectures were always interesting and engaging. Decent work load, but she provides clear guidelines and feedback. Even with the workload, would 100% recommend taking her class.

Comment:

Professor Hazard was absolutely amazing. She is a wonderful person and truly cares about her students. She assigns a larger amount of papers compared to other professors but as long as you put in effort and examples from your personal life then you're fine. The book isn't used a lot but you need it for a few chapters where there are quizzes

Comment:

As a person, Professor Hazard is a personal favorite of mine. As a professor, I find her to be difficult to work with if you have a different operating style to hers. She oftentimes expects you to be able to figure out what it is she is looking for in assignments, and if you ask her for more clarity you end up getting a passive-aggressive email.

Professor Hazard is a very engaging professor. You will never be bored in her class. I had her for GFCL and I got a lot out of it. Expect to write all semester. Also, A LOT of extra credit available. Follow the syllabus and you will get an A.

Very easy class, she outlines everything in the syllabus a head of time. Can be scatterbrained at times, late to class often. Very helpful and can connect you with many resources if you need anything at all. She's very funny and enthusiastic, would recommend her!

The best teacher at Bryant. I've had her for two classes and loved her. I hate writing papers but her weekly papers are short and easy. Just use examples from your life and you won't get below an 85 on them. Gives great examples during class and the tests are the study guide. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Hazard is so far the best professor I have had at Bryant. I have learned a great deal from her class. She uses real life examples for everything she teaches and I enjoy going to her class. I am taking her again next semester.
