Great professor! There is a decent amount of homework but it is short and straight from the book (takes about a half hour to do). Exams are multiple choice based off his powerpoints. If you study its not hard. Would definitely take him again if he taught other classes.

Comment:

Had Mr. Knowles for Summer 06 Investments class. Mr. Knowles is an excellent instructor and is very helpful. There was a big workload with 21 chapters of reading and homework, but they helped out when it came down to the mid-term and final exam. There was also a project (analyst report). All in all a lot of work, but well worth it.

You learn a lot in this class and, as a prof, he's awesome..makes a lot of jokes and is very approachable. Homework helps with the tests, which can be difficult... All in all, the class was definetly worth taking. Jerry is the man!

Basically, this guy stands up and reads from a "transparency" slideshow for an hour then dismisses you. Phil Donahue should stick to hosting talk shows, not teaching finance!

doesn't teach much of anything during class. I go sometimes just to hand in the homework (which is kind of tough sometimes-- difficult grader on that). I learn everything i need to know from the book. Easy class. Very nice guy, funny too.

this guy is EXTREMELY dull, but an easy teacher. i walk out every day about 15 minutes into class, but still manage a b+. read the book, he gets the tests straight from it. the online quizzes are also helpful.
