Drawing I: I had a great time in this class. He is in his comfort zone and lets you do your thing. If you do all assignments you will pass. Make sure you attend class he is always assigning something. Understanding Art: I would suggest to reconsider because this class is HARD. Take notes for at least two videos before each test. Visit a museum.

Hands down the worst class I have ever taken. Painfully boring. His tests are a nightmare, usually 75 question plus an essay. You have to visit a museum and write a 1500 word paper. He doesn't speak clearly during lectures. When he writes on the board, he writes in cursive that is hard to understand. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT EVER! FINAL WARNING! DO NOT take this class with this professor at ALL. Lectures are long and if you interrupt him, it gets longer. Good luck finding him or emailing online. You can't check grades. He has great knowledge of art but due his age, he's not trying at all. Dull tone of voice. If you ignore him, he'll come after you.

Honestly the worst professor I have ever taken. He does not care about his students whether they pass or fail. He does not respond to email and good luck trying to read his hand writing on the chalk board. Do not take him or you will truly hate your life. I have an A in calculus and I'll be lucky to get a C in his class.

I took this Hart's art class because i love drawing and thought I would get to have an enjoyable break in my day but that was the worst mistake. Does not use email at all, will not give notice if he doesn't show. Leaves the room during assignments and doesn't offer any help or direction. Made a girl cry because she wasn't a good artist.

I'm interested in the subject and I absolutely couldn't stand this class. Boring videos, even more boring lectures, no info about the test until the class before, and the tests are very difficult. If I hadn't had any previous hands-on art experience then I would have been completely lost. He also throws a fit if you don't have the book in class.

Awful teacher, I regret taking this class. He starts talking about something and then loses track of the subject and talks about something different. He dismissed his classes at least 6 times in the term (not letting us know on e-mail or something). His tests are SO HARD and long! He asks about what we didn't see in class!

If you take this class to learn how to draw or know how already, don't. He doesn't teach you. He puts a piece of wood on a table and says draw it. He leaves the class all the time so if you have a question you have to wait until he returns. If you finish drawing early and leave he marks you as absent. 4 absences and you have a F.

Do not choose this professor as your art teacher if you are learning beginning drawing. I took his class and he did not explain the assignments very well or give a lot of helpful hints to achieve what he was looking for. He is not very friendly to the students either. I would highly suggest looking else for a different professor.

He rarely explained things. When a student asked questions he'd ignore it and 5 minutes later go back and answer it. His notes are all over the place and constantly leaves the room during class. He only has 5 grades and if you get a C on one of them, there's no way of getting an A . He teaches us like we are all art majors when most of us are not.

Probably the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. He speaks to hear himself talk. Doesn't care about your or your situations at all. No bathroom breaks. If you're tardy 4 times, you get an F no matter what. And he doesn't make it interesting.

I appreciate this professors passion for the arts & his extensive knowledge for the subject. Unfortunately, I think he forgets that this is a class for non-art majors. It isn't hard if you pay attention and have some general interest in history of art but, If you think you're going to take this as a humanities & fly through you are sadly mistaken.

Can't read his hand writing. Mumbles a lot. Gets irritated if you ask him to repeat himself bc he mumbled.Is a knowledgeable man, but kind of grumpy and old school. Test are pretty difficult however, if you pay attention to his hand outs and key terms it will help TREMENDOUSLY! There is barely any room for error in his class.

first i want to say i study a lot, and i am in no way shape or form a 'bad student'. this professor was the worst possible teacher i have EVER had. his 'notes' are awful, hes monotone, doesn't elaborate, and he writes in almost illegible cursive. do yourself a favor and don't take this 'professor', you'll save yourself a lot of time and money.

He is a really good teacher. Finally a professor that doesn't just hand out grades at this school. He is not hard, you just have to study and pay attention in class. If you are at school to actually learn and not skate by then I would highly recommend him. He writes in cursive, if you can't understand that then you should not be in college.
