The things people are saying about Dr. Wilkinson is so unfair, I have struggled with Spanish from day one, I survived 1,and 2,with different Professors, I am taking intermediate on line with Dr. Wilkinson, she is AMAZING! she makes class fun and interesting, she is no dragon lady! she takes her time teaching us, and gives us great study tools.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! I feel more inadequate in Spanish now than I did before taking her class. She was completely unprepared, unfocused and condescending to the students. I will continually warn others against her whenever possible.

I had taken spanish 1 and 2 at beebe and its not strict there i was advised by her to go back to elementary for UALR since i didnt understand her at all and im sorry that i dont understand spanish words coming out of your mouth when you speak them 90 an hour, i didnt learn all of the vocabualry from day one. She was at least nice, but rude too

I took Intermediate Spanish with this professor and was was worried she would be what some seem to think she is, but she proved them wrong from the outset all the way through the term. She made learning Intermediate Spanish very easy. Teacher is getting a bad rap by students that want a good grade handed to them with no effort at all on their part.

Let's be real. We as students don't study like we should. Ms. Wilkinson prepares her lesson plan, so if you don't understand it then you must study on your own, because she did her job when she did the lesson. Grow up children who complain that she is a dragon lady. She isn't very pleasant but it doesn't matter. Do your work and go to class.

I know from personal experience that Mrs. Wilkinson is very caring and went completely out of her way to help me. There aren't many teachers out there that truly put in extra work and effort to benefit the student and get nothing in return. I think she is amazing and can't figure out why there are so many bad comments about her on here.

This professor was incredibly rude and unhelpful. After two class meetings, I transferred out of her class. A few other students followed over the course of the semester- a couple went to the dept chair and dean about her demeanor. Stay away if you can help it! I thought I could gut it out but quickly realized that she truly is horrible. Seriously.

The reason this site exists is so all the complainers can bash the professor that failed them. Not because they were not liked, but because the student did as little as possible. Professor Wilkinson is really nice and she is fair. If you work and are consistent you will be fine. She's a great teacher.

Great spanish teacher who knows how to teach. Hard to get to know at first but better after first class or two. Expects you to learn so what's so bad about that. She's good at teaching and wants her students to be there to learn it.

This is the rudest teacher I ever had. I do speak slightly better spanish now. However, everyday I am constantly insulted and offended. She will assign 18-25 online assignments at a time that are usually impossible to do correctly. Last week, she let us know we had a test, oral interview, and a rough draft power point presentation due in 4 days.

This professor can be very rude and wastes valuable class time. She spent over half of one class complaining about the internet in her apartment. Her assignments are ridiculous, not very well explained and you are left to fend for yourself. She does not help you to understand the language very well. Avoid her classes if possible.

Nicknamed her Dragon-Lady or Beezlebub Incarnate after taking her class. Assigned way too much work and was extremely rude! Had her for Int. Spanish and was a minor in Spanish until she inspired me not to be. She has no sympathy for students..took her Fall '09. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES.

she goes over the information but its not clear. it's taught very poorly and she can be really rude. sometimes she wont answer your questions. she'll listen to you ask it.. then just continue teaching, or she'll ignore you. ididn't learn much from her spanish class, but you can manage to deal with her if you really love spanish

This teacher is completely workthless, I had to go to the dean on her and I wrote a grievence. She grades you based on what her personally feelings about you is. I've taken her for Intermed. and presentat. she is terrible she lied about my grades I kept with them and e-mailed the dean.We are currently undergoing the investigation!

I truly do NOT understand the negative comments posted by some in regard to Dr. Wilkinson. I have found her to be an excellent instructor, and not "intimidating" or "disrespectful" to her students in the least. You will work for your grade, but if you put forth the effort, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Wilkinson.

This instructor is absolutely worthless. She never taught us a thing. You have to learn the chapter on your own, plus do online work. She would make assignments and never take them up. You literally did work for no reason because she would just skip it. I did not learn a thing in her class. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Wilkinson was rude to students!

I haven't had hear in a couple semesters, but I figured I had to add my mark after seeing all these negative reviews. Mrs. Wilkinson was an awesome teacher. Truthfully, every prof in the Span department is wonderful. She may play games, ad put together conversations, but she really does care about her students doing well.

She treats you like you are in the third grade. You will do multiple small conversations with maybe only a day to prepare for them and a test. Her grading still is really unclear and she won't tell you at midterm your overall status in the class. We only learned new vocabulary but really only long enough to use it on the test. Avoid her if you can.
