Weekly units involve two short quizzes over the material. He provides example problems that resemble what is on the quizzes. He allows a sheet of paper front and back with notes and formulas for the proctored exams. He is quick to responds to emails but won't provide much help. As long as you study and do the work, the class is doable.

His online course is set up very odd. Very rude when responding to emails. There are very few tutorials on the website which leaves you to teach it to yourself. 2 Quizzes every week. If you are not good in Math, I wouldn't suggest that you take this professor. You can probably find a better option for a Math teacher.

I took College Algebra online with Professor Topham. I think his class was hard, but it kept me challenged. He let us use one sheet of printer paper to use on exams. I recommend writing down examples of equations and how to solve them. There is 4 exams that you have to take on the campus. There is a final exam.

The way he has the class set up is messed up, the same week the test is due, you are still learning the material that will be in the test. The testing center is only open certain times. So instead of having a week to learn the new material. You have a week to learn and study and take the test. Its very difficult. Wrong.

Professor Topham really uses the book and online classes. He gives samples of the new topics for each chapter and sends us in the right direction if students are having problems. Using this info along with Khan Academy online, I was able to find the way to answer most problems. He shows concern for his students and answer emails promptly.

I had to retake College Algebra and chose Lee Topham's online class. He responds quickly to emails. If algebra is not a strong subject, then I would highly recommend taking his class. Usually 2 quizzes per week w/5 to 6 questions. 4 tests proctored and can take a page (front and back) of notes and calculator. 2 thumbs up!!

Each week there are 2 quizzes about 6 questions max. Every few weeks a test over those quizzes about 20 questions and you can use calculator and a page of notes for test. No comprehensive final. Professor Topham made this class as painless as possible as math has always been my Achilles heel. Definitely recommend this professor

He was a great teacher! He responded to emails quickly and was very helpful. He uses webassign for the online class which is much easier than mymathlab. There were 2 homework quizzes a week and only 4 tests in all. He has powerpoints for each lesson which is clear and helpful.

Took it in summer, 2 quizzes every 2 days; no brake. Two tests total, one note sheet is allowed. If want make an A, don't take it with another class in summer. Work is doable, just watch the videos on webassign and do practice problems too. Don't miss any quizzes, for extra credit.

If you're pretty good at math, you will love this class. The quizzes are five questions and they're exactly like the book problems he gives you to work on. You get 45 minutes for the quizzes and three hours for the tests. Quizzes are every two days and there are only two tests total. You can bring a formula/notes sheet to the proctored tests.

I took this test online and did well. Some of the material was difficult, but it was because it was Algebra and not the professor. I didn't contact the professor at all. The course work was very clear, everything was structured well. Exactly what I would expect from an online course.

I love this teacher! there was 2 quizzes that were 5-10 questions weekly, then 4 tests to be taken at the college. I suck at math and i did good in his class. He uses webassign, so i never even heard from him outside of emails. He rounds up grades.

I took him online and was hard to get a hold of. I tried to schedule a tutoring session and needed help with review and just told me to refer to the book. He's not accessible outside of class. If you take it online it's pretty much a self taught class. Good luck if you decide to take him.

His online math class was a breeze. He was quick to respond to emails and helps solve problems. There was a section due every week, but if you do the practice questions assign, it's and easy 100. On the major test we were allowed a page of notes. The course was online on webassign, which has good videos if you need help , and so does YouTube.

Very easy class. I took it online. You will need your textbook to pass class because you use it 100% of the time. Each week you take 1-2 quizzes that are 4-6 questions. Quizzes are only over 1 section in textbook. Every 4 week you take test which are over the sections you took quizzes for. Test questions are similar to quiz questions. Best class!
