Comment:

Teacher provides notes for the whole year (typed) very helpful. His tests are always 40 questions.He would do a lot of story telling and teach for 15 min and tell us its our responsibility to learn the rest. (did not like that) only a 1/3 of the class passed. he does end his classes early which was cool.

Comment:

Needed the class as part of my core for my degree. It could have gone worse. The worst thing about the guy is the jokes he makes. 2 sessions in you will wish there was a guy in the back with a drum set doing rimshots whenever he cracks a joke. Also he glossed over evolution but it is a Christian school so I'm not sure how to take it.

a very easy class. the only ppl who dont do well are the lazy ones was refuse to put in any extra work. he gives a DVD of the labs so theres no excuse for failing the lab practicals. he even types up and prints out the notes for every student. if its not in the notes its prob not on the test. just take a highlighter.

I thought this would be an interesting class and that we would maybe take dissect some animals during lab...but boy was I wrong! Unless you really do enjoy science, dont take this class. You can't pass the lab unless you watch the dvd religiously and study your notes daily. It's a lot of work for just a general ed class.

He will give you a DVD on the labs and provides a book with all the notes on everything he covers. I hated biology but he makes it interesting. Very good professor....the people that are lazy will not like this class. He spoon feeds you everything you need to know. Watch the lab dvd and spend some time going over the labs before the test.

dont waste money buying the book. he gives you all you need in notes to make A. nice guy and likes to tell a joke or two in class. sly old fox though (behind closed doors). guess you got that at all schools so you cant go around it.

Easiest science class at CSU. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK...ONLY BUY THE SYLLABUS AND LAB MANUAL. His tests are word for word with the syllabus notes he gives you. A lot of people seemed to struggle in this class for some reason, but the tests are all very easy and are all multiple choice.

Hard as crap and will do nothing to help you. His lectures are really relaxed and kind of enjoyable but his exams come straight out of left field. He thinks that since you are taking his class you have no life and expects you just to study for his class for the entire semester.

Professor Best seems to be a very good guy and generally nice. He makes the class less boring than it could be. He gives you all of the notes but expects you to know EVERYTHING. Overall nice guy though. Tough class.

Challenging Class. Expects everyone to make A's and B's. Knows what he's talking about and makes the material easy to learn. Study the syllabus you get for the class. 99.9% of his exams come directly from the syllabus. Good personality and sense of humor.

yeah..this guy is hard! BUT, study the syllabus! The test questions are word for word from the syllabus! A study group will help. Dont' buy the book. GET THE LAB VIDEO! i am horrible in Biology, but i made a B. Take him!

Almost all of the Bio majors don't like him, non-bio majors do...i guess i find it hard to take him seriously as a science teacher..he seems to just run through a list of facts you need to memorize. Never buy the book for one of his classes
