I took him for SOC 211 and had to take him again for 261. Leon is so helpful, funny and just a good person. I have interviewed him as well, and he seems like all he wants is for everyone to understand everything. Great, great professor

What a professor! You're gonna learn a bundle, you're gonna get a good grade, and you're gonna have a good time doing it. His stories are hilarious, his lectures are fascinating, and his class is pretty much a breeze. Tons o' extra credit opportunities if you should need them for some reason.

Kind of an odd guy, but in a good way. Tells a lot of funny stories. Class is really easy, just read the textbook, he wrote it so everything is straight from it.

he's an interesting guy and tells a lot of stories and little side-notes to lectures. i thought his tests were ridiculous though... for how much each test covered, there were only 30ish multiple choice questions and a few short answer on each and tests are majority of your grade.

Hilarious. Can relate all points to some wacky, entertaining story or another; Tom Waits song, "Cops: Mardi Gras" video, etc. Crashes Halloween parties in-costume and creeps out students. Highly recommended.
