Professor Crow assigns a lot of homework, however he gives plenty of time to complete. He covers everything that he puts on the tests in his lectures and as long as you pair lecture notes with the studying from the book you will do just fine.

He was super caring just his teaching style didnt flow with me. Ive always been bad at math though but he would walk around and check and answer questions u had. Homework was due when the test came. About 4-5 tests. Work from the book was used 24/7. Kinda went fast through lecture. No office hours for him personally. He did allow a cheat sheet!

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOUR NOT FAMILIAR WITH MATH ALREADY.... hes a heavy grader and your grade is broken up into 3 tests. He gives a mountain of homework and he doesnt teach well. He gets lost in his own notes then skips it and if you didnt get it then welp thats your fault. At the end of the semester there is 5 or 6 people left out of 40

I had Dr. Crow 3 times. Amazing professor. Gets bad rep because lazy students don't want to put the work in. He definitely prepared me for linear and diff. He's well respected and knows the material very well. Make sure you show up to class as all exam material will come from that. One of the best Chaffey has to offer.

Nice guy. Puts a lot of material into one lecture and makes it difficult to keep up. Really wish we had access to our grades to track progress throughout the semester. Seriously need to pay attention and do not skip class or you will fall wayyy behind

When you ask for help he ends up getting confused and does it in a complete different way than he originally taught and put material you never learned yet on his exams and doesnt give a good study guide

Lazy professor. He knows he doesnt have to work hard because he has some ties at chaffey. His time management is awful, leaving a large chunk of material for the last few weeks. He rushes the grades just to get on his break between semesters, getting grades incorrect. I knew at least 5 people whose grades he messed up. Very questionable ethic. :(

At first he seemed like a great professor, I even Aced my first exam. But in the middle of the semester he started to cancel class a lot, and rush through the material because we were so behind on the course. I was never able to catch up and I ended up failing the final and the last exam because he didnt teach us correctly.

Prepare to basically teach yourself. He will give you a proof on every exam, his exams are nothing like when he teaches you in his lectures. He does give homework credit, but not enough to help your gate, so you're relying on your exams. He doesn't even know answers to questions you ask him. I think he needs to go back to school to learn this stuff

Unless your confident in mth and already know the material, I wouldn't recommend. If you're like me that struggles and needs visual representation on problems W/O the professor using more complicated ways to explain them, this is not the class for you. Part of being successful in math comes from having a good professor. Not the case for this class.

So hes an alright teacher if you already know most of this math. Its elementary/intermediate algebra. He could sometimes take his time during lectures and do one section each day OR he could go through 4 chapters in one day which makes it harder to catch up on homework.

Prof. Crow is very clear in lectures, as well as organized, but his tests are only 6-10 questions and each question is worth 10 points or even more. He wants you to know the Theorems and their applications! Your grade depends only on Tests and Homework. He does not give extra credit AT ALL. You must go to every class.

Professor Crow seems like a really nice guy but that does not change the fact that he is a terrible teacher. He is extremely unorganized and all over the place. Starts most sentences with This isnt important but... and goes on to talk for 30 minuets about concepts we will not be tested on or help the material that is important.

Professor Crow was very difficult. I did take a fast track class so I expected a lot of work but he gave a ridiculous amount of work. I received B on my tests and turned in all of my work but he still gave me a D. I asked him for help several time throughout the period of the class and he told me to refer to the book.

Professor Crow can diagnose your issues with remedial math like elementary algebra and not only support your career in math(up to calculus+) but goes well out of his way to go over anything with every class mate. If you really want to learn and have a math intensive major requiring lots math beyond one semester, he will solidify your foundation.
