Clemmons is a great professor and lectures really well! The lectures are clear and concise and she does notes along with the class. In the class, there are two graded exams, 4 graded papers, 10 in class activities, and 3 book quizzes. She says that the book quizzes are not to trick anyone. But I read every book and still failed every quiz.

Dr. Clemmons is amazing! She is enthusiastic and cares for students. She gives out a lot of extra credit. There are all kinds of assignments so one bad grade won't ruin you. She does space things out so that you aren't stressed and gives ample warnings for due dates. She does have random in class assignments but they're only worth 5 points.

Professor Clemmons provides great feedback to students on papers and was always available outside of class for extra guidance on the end of term research paper. She really goes out of her way to help you succeed in her class and also to help prepare you for future HIS 200 and 300 level courses.

Dr. Clemmons is clear in what she wants and always willing to help. Although her class does demand reading and short essays prior to (almost) every class, the large number of assignments allows for some wiggle room in the grade book. Dr. Clemmons also does a great job at making the content relevant & posts grades on Reggienet immediately.

She is a very caring professor and loves her field of study. I had her for native American history. She gives a large number of assignments so be ready to work. Overall I enjoyed her class and learned a lot.

One thing I loved about Clemmons is that her class is really organized. She is super clear and everything is laid out. The class is pretty boring but I honestly liked it more than I thought I would going into it. You have to read 3 books which is a little much for a gen ed but if you read and study you'll be fine

Very good class structure where your papers are graded as a process instead of just the final paper and you have homework and participation grades to help as well. A lot of work, but Clemmons is willing to work with you and gives great feedback. A solid choice for 200 because I feel prepared for more upper-level classes now!

For just a gen ed she grades things so harshly, she gives off the vibe that she doesn't believe in giving out 100%. Its a super interesting class, and the lectures (besides her annoying voice) are great, but the work load and hard grading is stupid and unnecessary for a general education 100 level course.

Her voice is extremely annoying, but unfortunately if you don't go to class you probably won't do very well. She does in class assignments and gives extra credit sometimes for showing up. You can get by without reading the three required novels. Study hard for her exams because they are worth a ton of points, but they aren't too hard if you study.

Clemmons is a very nice lady, once you get past her voice. This class was very doable but the amount of assignments and reading for a gen ed course was kind of overkill. There's in-class assignments, 3 novels that are very difficult and dry reads, and 4 papers to write that you need the text book for. Pay attention and you'll pass just fine.

I loved Dr. Clemmons! Nicest teacher I have met in college so far. There are 4 papers to write that you need the textbook for. There are also 3 biographies that you have to read so the class is a little reading heavy but doable. Her tests are just exactly what she lectures on so you have to go to class and take solid notes.

I loved Dr. Clemmons' class. She gives out lecture outlines beforehand and writes notes up on the board during her lectures. I learned a so much about Native American history and culture. There are 10 random in class assignments you do in a group (so don't skip), 4 primary source responses, 4 book quizes, and 2 multiple choice/writing based tests.

Dr. Clemmons is extremely passionate about the subject she teaches so its always exciting to come and learn. Very few assignments, 4 total short papers and 3 novels that you can get by without reading. She does however give out in class assignments that take a toll on your grade if you aren't there to take them.

Dr. Clemmons is a wonderful lady. She does assign a lot of work to do when it comes to reading and writing. The class is very interesting and I loved it. I would recommend the class, but not if you want an easy A. You have a lot of little work and one large term paper to complete in this course.

Sit in the back so your ears don't bleed. Overall, a good teacher though. She gives back testspapers very quickly, usually the next class. Quizzes and tests are pretty easy if you pay attention.

Well to start, she has the most annoying voice you'll ever hear in your life, by the time lecture is over your ears will be bleeding. But the class is so boring even though she really does know what shea talking about. You have to go to class because she gives in class assignments with a group like we're in 5th grade again

There are 3 books you have to read, I didn't read a single page of them. I got c on all of the quizzes. She gives you a study guide of the terms she wants you to know fill that out and thats all the studying you need to do. She is always talking in questions? She says "a-so instead of also.

She is a nice lady with a huge range of knowledge. I learned a lot in the class. She/ her grad assistant are a bit of hard graders but over all fairly easy and interesting. She kind of has a valley girl voice though, which was a bit annoying.
