Professor Geisler is hands down one of my favorite professors at SFSU. He's a genius! The material is truly fascinating, but extremely detailed which makes the class pretty tough. However, it is definitely possible to do well as long as you study well in advance for exams. Best advice? TAKE PICTURES OF EVERY LECTURE SLIDE!

Amazing professor. I learned more in this class than any other. Very fair grading and allows extra credit. Final is cumulative from previous tests.

"No study guide" & "Everything you need to know is in the book" that's when you know its going to end in the most painful way possible. There are 4 tests for the entire semester, the red definitions are from the book almost exactly, and most of the questions on tests are from the book not slides. This class is not something you can pass by leaving.

The way he teaches is basically he covers everything you need to know in class. The lectures come straight from the book and all his question on the exams come from the slides, so I never read the book. I recommend typing the slides if you are a fast typer because he goes thru slides fast. Just study the notes from the slides and you will get A/B.

If the student doesn't do well is on them. He grades you on 4 test and drops one of the first 3 test. Love coming to his class. I only wish he would allow more extra credit.

Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't go you won't pass because he puts up slides and that's what will be on the 4 exams. He drops one exam and was not available outside of class. His TA was not helpful at all and you're best chance is having someone you know taking the class too so that way you guys can be there if one misses class.

Geisler is a brilliant professor who clearly has the respect of many students in his class. He is so well versed on the subject matter but still seems to be deeply interested, which is very endearing. His class is very clear, but also very tough. Read the book and take detailed notes.

Dr. Geisler is the best teacher I have ever had! His class has difficult material but if you study and prepare you will do well. He is available outside of class and is extremely helpful (but be prepared for a line for his office hours because he is popular)! He is one of the smartest teachers I have ever had. You will not regret taking him!

Ok, if you are ever given the opportunity to take Mark, DO IT. Best professor at SFSU, hands down. I also took him for Clinical PSY & wow, he is seriously so helpful & genuinely cares for your well-being! I wish he taught more classes so that I could take him! Mark is hilarious & helps you make the best out of a GWAR class. TAKE HIM!

Took him Fall 2016 for Introductory Physiological Psychology. He was one of the most passionate, knowledgeable professors I have ever had. He has a great way of making the course material engaging and uses examples that help you understand and fully learn the material. Passed class with A, be prepared to work. Extra credit is offered.

Dr. Geisler's powerpoint slides are concise and are geared toward the exams, which are appropriately difficult. The lectures occasionally veer into tangential territory, and Geisler's highly animated teaching style can be exhausting. Still, a relatively strong instructor.

There are three exams and a final. He says they are based off lectures words in red yet when the exam rolled around there was a lot of info that was never on the slides. Your best bet for this class? Do not go to it. Meticulously study each chapter and know it like the back of your hand. He confused me into only studying info. I thot was relevant

Dr. Geisler is another professor who really cares. Everything you need to know for exams is in his lectures and marked in RED. You memorize that and you have an easy A. Three exams one final, he drops lowest grade. Lectures are long and he is winded but if you are struggling ask for help. Miss class and you wont pass.

Professor Geisler's GWAR class was the hardest class I have taken at SFSU and also the most rewarding. If you miss class you will not pass, but he is so enthusiastic and motivational the 3 hour class flies by. Best teacher by far.
