I took De Villers for an online class in which she sent us a massive and lengthy syllabus however it contained no helpful information. She is not clear on what she wants and then grades harshly for students not meeting up to whatever it is that she expects. I thought this class would be fun and interesting but she makes it so difficult.

Took this online. There is a lot of reading that needs to be done, however, trying to get a hold of her is impossible! You send her an email and she doesn't get back to you for like over a week. Even though you can't really convey tone thorough written words, she just comes off as rude.

I took the class for summer online, interesting class but you have to read alot, we had a test like every wk, about 4 ch each, & each ch's are so long, some people work you know they can't just stay at home & read, she doesn't answer to your emails all the time, but good thing you can take test multiple times, u have to do a book report on her book

This was an online class. Very easy if you read the book, the answers come directly from there, plus you can take the test again if you want to improve score. Very helpful and very FUN CLASS. RECCOMMEND TO ALL!!!

I loved this class. I looked forward to going twice a week. Awesome teacher, interesting, quirky and fun. To those that complained about her tests being hard, this is college! I studied and I never got below a 90. I'm sure it's the lazy people complaining. Class participation is a big deal in this class, also following written instructions.

This class was so easy! The whole was like a lil mini therapy session, which simply rocked. No final, and only 2 papers to be written as homework i mean..cmon!! HELLO ITS EASY! She's so friendly, down the earth and a woman with good sense of humor. She grades heavily on participation!

i took her psych 5 class. shes a great teacher and has lots of interesting stories. homework is a must for this class but the homework isnt hard. its all personal and you can also benifit from alot of it. and the best thing NO TEST AND NO FINAL!

Took online, very easy, Discussion entries, 1 paper and either a test or another paper each week. I've missed a few assignments and still have an A in the class. Syllabus is very clear however she does make mistakes on it. Trust the syllabus, not her reminders and you'll do just fine! Not an interesting class, don't learn much, but easy A.

The textbook is easy to read. Prof. can't spell, she "forgets", takes a while to grade. Not much interaction with her. You post your answers to questions on a thread & everyone has to make comments on each others. You must read the text. The tests are easy, but I think she keys answers wrong & lies about it. Not professional. Easy A; do the work!

Class was fairly easy however the professor was extremely rude in her emails. It's ironic that in her profession she stereotypes people she never met. Had to ask for my final grade and then she question me if I REALLY turned in an assignment because my name sounded like someone elses. Sorry De Villers, perhaps it's time to retire.

I did not enjoy her or her class. Her lectures were boring and halfway through the semester more than half the class just stopped showing up. I'm usually a good test taker, but her "possible answers" are so similar, that it's almost impossible to tell which one is correct. The 3 web papers & 1 book report are really easy. The tests kill you.

Her class was soooo great! I had such a great time with her. She didn't even truly lecture, she'll ask question and have the whole class discuss personal experience or just point of views. It was a very theraptic class. Loved it! And the fact that she's so great and nice...bonus!

Those of you who complained of the syllabus, learn to read. Its extremely clear. Psych 5 is the easiest class I have ever taken. You read a chapter a week and write a page on it. No right or wrong answers. Class discussions can be fun at times. You don't learn alot, per se, but the book is great for self growth.

I found De Villers to be interesting for those naturally into psychology. She has a strange personality to say the least. She did not MAKE you buy her book. There are substitutes for her awful book but you would have to speak to her to understand that. If you enjoy learning, take the class. If you hate college, take another professor.

Wow, I cant believe she got such bad reviews. I took this class online and she was SO helpful even over the internet. Not only did I learn a lot but she also voluntarily gave me advice with my OWN problems. I think she is a very smart and nice woman, and her book is helpful too.
