Terrible class. She doesn't teach you anything she just talks about things that interest her. A ton of out of class assignments that require you to go off campus, plus busy work like you've never experienced. She also acts like everyone at Siena is poor and not as good as people at larger universities like UMich. Does not work well with athletes.

She gives out a ton of homework. Most of the work is just busy work. It tends to go on and on. When doing work for her class, you will feel like you are repeating yourself a lot. She tends to space out on things a lot. I spent so many hours on this class and I would regret taking this class every day. I would recommend taking this class online.

Comment:

Linda is very nice and the class is fairly easy. Tests are easy A's as long as you study. However, this class is BUSY WORK on top of more busy work. I'm talking writing paperS for each class. Yes, paperS, plural. It's ridiculous and all of the papers and busy work are IRRELEVANT to sociology. Be prepared to use a lot of time outside of class.

Wonderful! Very caring and dedicated professor. Best class by far. You will get hands-on learning that is far more beneficial than just sitting in a classroom.

She does not teach. for being a 100 level coarse she requires way to much from her students. For the students who have demanding schedules this is not the class for you. She also never goes over the book but its required for her exams. to put it simply...Not a teacher.

I love Linda as a person. As a teacher, not so much. I can honestly say that I did not learn a single thing in any of the classes that I took with her. She gives too much busy work and was very scatterbrained. Perhaps because she was SUPER intelligent. I had a class with her that began at 8:30am and she almost NEVER showed up on time.

Her class has the potential to be very beneficial to those who can make it through the enormous amount of busy work she requires. However, she degrades the college by insisting that it is a working-class school and not comparable to the other local college.
