She is one the most awful and worst instructor that I have ever seen. She never takes care of her students, and she is really tough grader. I took COM 231 in Spring and I really have a good skills to write and to give speech, but she never accepts whatever I wrote. Arrogant and self-choice instructor. She needs to get retired.

Comment:

I had Mrs. White for online courses this summer semester and I think she was wonderful. She is a professor who cares about her students and is willing to help them if they are willing to seek the help. Expect actual classwork and homework; it's none of that quick and easy stuff. She grades tough, but I feel I have earned the grade I deserve.

I had a 4.0 GPA till this horrible class. I was under the impression of public speaking not 4 papers, outlines, and grading that makes you cry!!! DO NOT TAKE HER COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally did not enjoy the class, nor did I think she was fit to teach this class. Her grading was all over the place, as well as her assignments. She isn't willing to help, nor try to understand the student. WOULD NOT TAKE THE CLASS AGAIN. Terrible.

As a person she's a sweetheart and as a professor she's amazing. Only reason why I got a C was because I'm a perfectionist and didn't turn things on time (like outlines and topics for speeches). The LearnSmart assignments are automatic 100s. Sweet lady, very nice, incredibly helpful. Take her class!

This teacher is very friendly, and she gives many opportunities for extra credit. She does give a lot of outlines and I followed all of her guidelines, but if she doesn't like something she will take off. Just do all of the online tests and you will be fine. Fairly easy.

I enjoyed taking Mrs. White com 231. She is a very smart women and has ALOT of experience. Her style of teaching is diffrent but easy to understand.

Honestly, I am a A+ student and I got a C in this class. Every time I posted a topic she denied it but would let someone do a similar topic. Also I would follow her exact guidelines and still get low grades on my outlines. So no it is not my own fault in this class she just does not grade well.

I have taken many classes at CPCC. Mrs White was by far the best. She was easy to work with and the work of course was not hard as long as you work at it. It is a 200 series tranfer class. Of course it is going to involve some work. She is EXPLICITLY clear every week on what you are to do and what is coming up. If someone does badly its their fault

She's sweet, but she can be irritating. She talks to the class like they're five. She over simplifies and over explains, yet sometimes she still isn't clear. I found this style of teaching tedious and slow. She is a very nice woman and I enjoyed talking to her outside of class, but I would not choose to be her student again.

Unfortunately, my experience with this teacher hasn't been the best. She talks to her students like they're in kindergarten and doesn't challenge them to live up to disciplined standards of behavior for a classroom. On the other hand, her standards of work required before a speech are extremely high and her expectations are sometimes ambiguous.

I hope you never have Linda White as a professor. She is very condescending and is ALWAYS talking about herself (always in the third person!) She takes this class WAY too seriously. It was more work than my other classes combined! Speaking in front of the class is easy, dealing with her is not.
