I had Dr. Yellin at LMU for 3 semesters. She is the best! Make sure to take notes from her classes; the tests are exactly what she says in class. Her papers are easy as long as you follow her directions and format (ASA). I LOVE HER! Some students think she is boring and slow, but she has the perfect pace for writing notes down! I learned so much!!!

I loved this professor! She's a very amazing lady, and extremely knowledgeable in the course. Its a great feeling to see successful, intelligent women like her teaching, I admire it greatly. It was a pleasure to be in her class! =) Take her classes! =)

Dr. Yellin is very intimidating, but once you take her class and get to know her, you realize she's very down-to-earth, and there to help you learn to be a sociologist. She is very smart and great at explaining things. I like that her expectations are high, because I feel you learn more than a less challenging class, and 202 is a foundation class.

If you are a serious college student you will enjoy her class. She is a nice, clear, and organized speaker that mixes everyday life into lectures. If you like to learn about the crazy world we live in, she is an expert on gender vs sex. Go to class, take notes, and do homework. She will help you if you ask for it, dont be shy.

She is an excellent prof. she provides infomation that will bo SO useful when you take Methods. Many graduating seniors are having a hard time because they didn't learn much from 202, but if you take Yellin you'll be prepared, trust me you'll need it when you get to Methods. She receptive when you need her help. Seems unapproachable yet she is not.

This Professor knowns her stuff. Dont ask too many questions because she makes you feel dumb. attending class is mandatory. you can miss 3 the your grade drops after. tardies are counted as well. She is a good teacher but expects a lot out of you. There is a research project that was fairly easy. Most of her test consist of her own notes.

Prof. Yellin is a professor in every sense of the word. She's got a backbone and she knows her stuff. The class grade consists of 2 tests, 1 group or individual project and a final. The test material comes 75% from the lectures and 25% from the book. She does offer extra credit as well.

just don't take her, she's hard!!! she dislikes when students ask questions she feels it is distrupting her class. Not the greatest professor. 1 midterm and final. Random extra credit in between. Dont have to open or buy books. exams are strictly from notes, so take them well. She reads notes SUPER fast and hates repeating when asked. says she likes, but actually hates arguments against her and has a narrow mind. Never answers questions clearly
