Comment:
This was an intro course, and it was really easy. Lisa gave really good lectures on it and they were really informative. Over all this class can be really taught by anyone I think. Did not have to buy a textbook which was nice, she supplied a PDF for one. I would gladly take her class again.

Lisa was an absolutely amazing prof! She really cares that her students succeed in her courses. There is a fair amount of reading but i found it was super interesting material. She's very intelligent and you learn a lot from her lectures. I loved her and she actually sparked my interest in history! I will be taking her other courses for sure!

Alot of reading, sometimes leaves the impression her class is the only one you're taking. Expects alot of work to be done on assignments which are not worth anything.

Lisa is a great prof at UPEI. She is always pleasant and easy to talk to. Willing to help anyone who takes the time to visit her. People complaining about her marking too hard are idiots. If you do the work, she is really fair and provides great feedback.

She is an amazing prof - she challenged us and made us actually think for answers instead of giving them to us which helps in the long run. I definitely miss not having her this semester.

History of foreign foods was a great class. Lisa is engaging and quirky and did well in making a friendly environment for non history majors. Enjoyed immensely.

I've taken 101, 385, and 455 with her. Her 101 lectures were a bit dull, but don't let that drive you away from her other courses. She is interesting, engaging, and creative. She genuinely cares about the success of her students and is always willing to help outside of class. She's a bit of a tough marker, but is clear about her expectations.

Scatter-brained. Awful lectures. Expects students to know information she hasn't taught. Wouldn't take another course from her.

Had to physically keep myself from falling asleep in her lectures. They were brutal to sit through, but if you miss one, you're screwed because her power points make no sense what so ever!!

She's a really hard marker. She's a nice person, she does what she can to help you learn, and she gives extra help before the exams, but I was frustrated that even though I studied a lot, I still couldn't do as well as I wanted to.

She actually expected us read the books she assigned. When I pay for a course, I expect to get credit without having to do stupid things like read books and go to class. I have life experience. I just need a degree.

Very helpful, holds lots of extra study sessions so you are prepared for exams and tests; she needs to mark a little more fairly - sometimes decides she'll mark to the level of the student, rather than the level fo the course. OK, I get why, but the point is, if it's a first year course, mark it like a first year assignment.

going from prof raiswell to chilton was quit an adjustment. It seemed as though she new little outside of what she thought in regards to european history. Her lectures were very hard to follow, I ended up doing well, but still despised the course. Try to avoid, take Raiswell instead if possible, much better, and more interesting.
