Dr. Graley taught on Scripture as literature. if you are christian, she says some questionable things about a christens beliefs. she gives daily quizzes but only keeps the highest 10. the quizzes are on daily readings so get ready to read from the THREE text books pretty much every night. 2 Exams, with ridiculously excessive amounts of material.

You'll have a lot of reading and writing assignments but it is an honors english class so not really avoidable but Dr. Graley has awesome class discussions and she cares and wants you to pass. she wants you to do the hw but you can also be honest with her and she won't do anything about it.

Dr. Graley cares about her students, but I hate the way she teaches. All she does in class is talk on and on about books and stories that are useless to your grade. She's unclear with her grading criteria with her essays, so it's hard to know what she wants when writing. She always changes due dates at the last second. Take someone else for ENGL115

She expects you to write the way SHE wants you to. NO EXCEPTIONS. I had to seriously adjust EVERYTHING about the way I write in order to fit criteria that doesn't even make sense. I missed a couple classes because I was scheduled to get surgery. I had to go through the dean because she wouldn't let me make up any work despite my doctors notes.

We wrote A LOT of papers, and no matter how hard I tried to fix my writing based on her feedback, she would give me the same grade. I received straight B's for like 2 months, and whenever I decided not to try at all on like 2 of the papers, I got an A. Most of the stories we read for homework were completely pointless to read. DO NOT SKIP CLASS!

She throws a lot of last minute assignments at you and requires you to dumb down your writing skills into writing an essay the way she wants it. Be prepared to read A LOT. We wrote a lot of papers and short writing assignments. Most classes were just discussions about the stories we read which got boring real quick. Don't skip class bc you'll fail.

Dr. Graley is very kind and really cares about the material. You have to read; she gives a combination of quizzes, papers, and tests. Not hard, and she's not a hard grader, but you can't breeze through and make an A without doing the readings. However, she does try to give points where she can and give you the benefit of the doubt when possible.

So the class is easy. Graley only expects you to read and theres pop quizzes on the readings EVERY CLASS. SO GO BUY THE BOOKS RIGHT IN THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS ONCE YOU HAVE THE SYLLABUS. As long as you keep up with reading, youll pass

Such a great teacher, not easy but worth it! Her themes are always very interesting (I've taken her twice) and she's very sweet and fair but you need to really enjoy reading, and can't mind writing papers either (just 2 or 3).

I LOVE Dr. Graley. I've taken her twice and am begging for an override for the upcoming semester. She is fantastic. She knows her stuff and is passionate about it, and that is very endearing. She is funny, very nice, and helpful. If you are even somewhat interested in the subject matter, then you should have no problem in this class.

Dr. Graley is a sweet, sweet woman; however, she is not a great teacher. Her essays required dumbing down one's writing to the point where your essays become just condescending. Would not take again; it just led to a lot of frustration and heartbreak.

Very nice lady. Wasn't an easy A, but she wasn't a very difficult grader as long as you follow the rubric and take her advice. Discussions in class were interesting if you put the effort into them, and she loves hearing the students' new ideas about the stories. Had 3 regular essays, a research paper, an in-class paper, and an essay as the final.

Tough but fair grader. I learned a lot from her class about how to write more clearly and concisely. Also made us write 4 or 5 papers, an 8 page research paper, and 3 in class writing assignments so if you're looking for someone who is going to teach you how to write, this is your class. If you're looking for an easy A, stay away!

There's a lot of material to cover, but she's very good about getting the point across and going over it a lot so it's ingrained in your memory. Very interesting classes, never a boring moment. She's sort of scatterbrained especially when it comes to technology, but she knows her stuff.
