I took this class during the summer, it was tough but the professor made it amazing. She was extremely helpful when I didnt understand things and even let me make up a couple classes I had missed by sitting in another class. I enjoyed her personal stories and learning the history to the Spanish countries. Highly recommend!! Love this professor!

If you don't already speak Spanish, then you will have no idea whats going on or what she is teaching. She is very vague and general when she "teaches." The online homework doesn't help you learn anything either. With learning nothing, students are expected to do a oral presentation and essay ALL IN SPANISH. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

Comment:

Very nice until you ask her a question. She is VERY unorganized, and she's rude when you email her about anything. She may be better in class, but she is definitely not a good online professor. Many assignments are not created to teach you Spanish, rather it's a Spanish history/current events class. Expects you to already know Spanish. Horrible.

She is AMAZING, very helpful. She truly cares about each and everyone of her students. She is a Spanish teacher but gives you mentoring and advice about college, scholarships, and much more! Dr. Huffman is such an amazing teacher and over all human being. Take her class, you will not regret it. I read the negative reviews, most of which are wrong.

Very enthusiastic. Her class was fun everyday from the start. She's super sweet and friendly and as long as you don't screw around and ignore the subject matter (c'mon guys, this is college) you'll do well.

Best teacher I've EVER had! Ms. Huffman is so inspiring and truly cares about her students' education. Her class is interesting and fun.Highly recommend this class. She really helps you and wants all of her students to succeed. Just attend class and do the assignments and there is no way you will fail.

Best teacher I've had at LMC hands down! So willing to help you in any way possible and a natural in the profession. She truly cares about the progress and understanding of her students. She even told my class the school wouldn't even need to pay her to teach because she loves it so much. I would love to take another class with her and I would highly recommend her!

Dos Mio! Laurie is hands down THE BEST. She truly cares about people and her teachings will not only inspire and motivate you but you will have a different outlook on the world. Her class makes you want to be a better person. She is my favorite person in the world and, because of her, I feel I can do anything. Do yourself a favor & take her class.

Class is easy, as long as she likes you, you will get an A. She is super unorganized. Tells your the plans for the day and sometimes they do not even happen. You will learn nothing but about how she loves costa rica. Seems hard at 1st but its an easy class just show up and be on her good side. Hated this class because i did not learn a thing.

Best teacher at LMC, hands down. My only complaint is that she doesn't teach -51 next semester so I can take her again. Inspiring, cares about students, and makes everyone feel comfortable learning the language and have fun while we're at it. Que linda!
