STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS GUY. Some days are productive, most days are not. Will ramble on about the news and not about fluid mechanics or whatever it was we were supposed to learn this semester. Hands out plenty of quizzes so make sure you memorize the little information he spits out in lecture. Don't bother buying the book, he claims its useless!

This teacher is absolutely ridiculous. You can pass if you show up for the quizzes and do well on the take home final. But you learn absolutely nothing. He is completely useless and cocky beyond belief.

This professor ranted on how bioengineers sucked, and how ASU sucked and all sorts of other things that really did not matter. He did not teach us much; I would advise everyone to stay away from him, as he is the worst professor that I have ever had. He should be fired or forced to retire.

Awful. Just echoing everything said before. Requires us to buy a textbook, but assigns no homework and even tells us not to read it because we're not smart enough to understand it anyway and it won't help since he doesn't teach from the book. Everyone in class with me was frustrated with him. Repeatedly told us we're wasting our time at ASU.

Our grade was determined from a handful of quizzes (very strict grading) and a take-home final. Repeatedly told us how incapable we were on the subject. He changes his mind often, and even changes quiz problems while you're taking the quiz. Talks about random things like the flu, drinking, "cash for refrigerators." AVOID

He said the only way for ASU to make money is for teachers to fail students. I know three students that he failed. He failed me because he said i did not turn in the take home final, which i did! This happened to two people where he said he lost there tests when the people were one hundred percent sure they turned it in!

The worest professor I have ever had. Going into his class I had a 3.5 GPA and I have not failed a class until this one. The class was told we were not smart enough to read the book, therefore we would be tested out of our notes, I filled 20 pages. Do not take him for any class, ever!

IF: You just want to go to class and sit and copy stuff from the board and pass the course with a fair grade and not know anything. You should consider taking Yao. He seems to be fed up with teaching. That's just one reason he why shouldn't.

Literally the worst professor I have ever had. He pretends to teach and then tells you how stupid you are. Wastes most of the class talking about useless stuff (Swine flu, his job experience, his life story) and not teaching. AVOID. For the first test, he changed the SINGLE question midway though and gave us 10 minutes to solve. DO NOT TAKE

Yao is probably the worst professor I have had. He does not explain any of the material in lecture (even in the 50% of the time he is actually talking about the course material). He waited until 2 months into the semester before giving us an assignment, which sounds good except that we still had not learned anything from him. Avoid Yao!

Only take Yao for Fluid mechanics or Thermofluids. Theses are the feilds he knows well. He will tell lots of pointless stories, probably 50% of class time. I also had him for 313 where he was tough to understand. Still managed a B. All in all pretty fair teacher.

honestly the worst teacher I've ever had. He's actually made me a worse engineer by not teaching me necessary material. ASU should fire this guy. He just rambles on and on about how we are gonna be bad engineers cuz engineers from china and India are more disciplined. Just terrible. You will learn nothing.

Very bad english, you can hardly understand what he is talking about. Fair guy, the deal is to attend all his classes, pretend to be interested, do the homeworks in time and you get yourself an A. A pretty much OK professor. Do not buy any textbook, you will not use it!
