He didn't seem too interested in the subject (Net I), but Dr. Ackler is an amazing professor. He's always available for help outside the classroom, he's willing to repeat subjects students are confused on. The midterms over everything, but he gives study guides and review sessions. I enjoy having his as a professor!!

Comment:

Best teacher in the CS department and best teacher I have ever had. Ackler is my hero and he taught me a lot of useful information in computer security and forensics that I use in my everyday job. Lynn made me very paranoid as well after taking his classes. Ackler is my hero and he is a DAMN GOOD teacher! The best!

Dr. Ackler is a very down to earth guy! Very funny and tell you like it is! The guy knows his stuff and doesn't beat around the bush! I'm told he is in his 70's.. I don't believe it!!! Not a day older than maybe his late 50's! Loved this Professor!

Although his knowledge on the subject was limited he sure knew how to teach a class. His stories were awesome and blew my mind. He was very fair and relaxed when it came to grading and was a wealth of information. I'm glad I get to take more classes with this guy. I wish I would have taken forensics with him instead of Tikekar.

Great teacher, easy to understand and his tests are pretty easy as well. Very funny and very helpful when it comes to questions, doesn't like to grade things or do work, so very little actual work other than tests.

One of the better instructors in the department. His tests are challenging and thorough. He has a mastery of the material which makes for an enjoyable lecture.
