You won't learn anything and you won't get A's. She likes you to write like she does, so you have to change your style of writig completely to maybe get an A. Good luck!

BORING, BORING, BORING. i'm on the Deans list, and this class was brutal, as in boring, and too much work! it takes her months to grade things and give back. Her feedbacks aren't helpful. She's super weird. But she takes attendance, so better go there. Boring lecture after another. Just couldn't wait to leave this class! AVOID!

Lots of writing in this english class, because duh. not to tough of a grader but likely will get a B, A's are less likely. I liked her, she is friendly and can be blunt on her feedback. I did not read much, but I guess you could. Work hard, but expect B's... so YAY!!!

If you want an A, do not take Dr. Fowler. Nice lady, but grading system really pissed me off! I am an A student, and received A's in other writing/English courses, but NOT in this class. Either you get 100% or a B, and nowhere in between. Assignments are WAY too wordy, and there is a lot of busy work. PLUS she took over a month to get papers back

I honestly really hated this class. I don't think it was Fowler's fault, since 302 is already just a stupidly designed class. She was helpful if I went out of my way to get help, though not very helpful for me in normal lectures. She expects very specific things in assignments sometimes. That was a bummer. She deff takes her students seriously.

THE WORST. She's a very tough grader and, although I did great on every assignment, didn't ever get above an 89. Especially her final researched argument paper at the end of the semester- pretty much no suggestion to change my topic until the end, when she told me I'd fail. After the completion of the semester. Take someone's class & save headaches

I found that this teacher was good, yet the grading scale forced you to work for what you got. I found this annoying as this was a gen-ed, and I thought the scale should be more lenient. However, I found discussion very interesting and this teacher is very smart. If you're willing to work, she's a good teacher for you.

There are long reading and response homework assignments for every night. The longer, essay assignments are strange and considering they are supposed to augment our majors have nothing to do with them. There are tons of other English teachers for 302, take one of them.

She is a good teacher, if you ask for help and show interest in the work, you'll do well in the class. There is a lot of homework, not too easy or hard. A few papers, group projects, and a presentation. Overall nice class. I'd recommend her!

Professor Fowler was wonderful! She really helped me improve my writing. She assigns 4 essays for the semester and a small homework assignment almost every night (submitted online) but they're very easy and don't take long. She's a great teacher who really doesn't do a lot of lectures but a lot of discussions. Take professor Fowler if you can!!!

Ms. Fowler was a good teacher. She tried to make the class as enjoyable as possible and the assignments weren't too bad. Her comments on the papers were very helpful. As long as you set aside a good amount of time for the papers you will pass. I turned in 2 papers late and I still got an A-. The class wasn't hard at all.

Ms. Fowler is a nice, fun professor, but is VERY nitpicky when grading work. She notices just about every error you make in essays/logs and lets you know about it, which can be helpful at times. You have lots of homework, and a new essay every other week or so. Overall, take her if you're serious about English or like writing essays.

She was very helpful and friendly. Joked around alot and loved talking about pdiddy. Good teacher and flexible with dates if you talked to her and let her know your situation. Small class so if you don't go you miss out. Overall, not much "new" material about english is taught but a good review of highschool english

Fowler is a nice lady & I really enjoyed being in her class. Grades consist of 3 individual papers, 2 in-class writing assignments, 1 10-15 pg. group project report, and a final presentation. Her comments on the rough drafts are helpful--she takes a lot of time and effort into giving positive feedback. The class is work, but she's an easy grader :)
