Vizio does give out A's on assignments and journals. Just not always. You usually find out why when she covers the lit and see that you did not go as deep into the lit as she would like. If you take her for any type of lit, then plan on really going deep into the literature. Your own opinion is allowed, so long as the lit supports it.

Super sweet lady! Her class can be hard and attendance is important... ive never gotten a full 5 on any assignment, but personally enjoyed the class. She is really nice, tries to be funny and quirky, reminds me of my grandma

She is a superrr hard teacher, extremely picky. You have to write an essay response to each hw question to receive only SOME credit. She will NEVER give you full credit on any assignment. Gives loads of homework, at least 4 different assignments a day. i recommend you NOT take her, unless you don't have any other classes.

Comment:

Vizio grades a bit tough on essays and journals; I've never gotten a 5 in her class. Plus she chooses novels that most kids have read from high School like Frankenstein or The Sun Also Rises. She's eccentric and does this weird panting thing, like a dog. But if you talk to her personally she'll help you out. Lets you turn in hw through email.

Difficult to follow if you do not attend every class meeting. Always have textbook on hand & be prepared to be put on the spot. Daily journals are due & you will not receive full credit unless you speak to her before every journal and write down exactly what "detail" she wants. I received a C+ and will forever be spiteful.

Be sure to do all work in her class. Even if your feeling lazy. I received a "C" on the first essay "A" on the second and a "B" on the third. All you have to do is the work. Make sure you take great notes, they'll be your key to passing. She's very helpfull, just ask.I took her twice for Fall 10/Spring 11. Tests are based on the lectures.

I took her for Eng 1B, 80A, and 80B. You really need to pay attention and do all of the work. She grades tough, but if you are having problems she is happy to help. She even lets you resubmit one of your first two papers. I recommend her if you're serious about learning, but not if you want to be a slacker.

She's a great teacher, but most of these comments don't lie. Throughout this particular course, there are three essays to be written, and homework in between, but that's the extent of it. Just do the work and ask for help if you ever need it.

Expects a lot from her students, this is not exactly a bad thing. She is very funny if you are intelligent enough to catch her jokes. She is a tough grader... though I deserved a better grade a few times... but this only challenged me to try harder. This is not a walk in the park b.s. course so do not take her if you want an easy A!

She's extremely difficult. She wants what she wants and its hard to satisfy her. I have never gotten full credit on a journal even though I followed her directions. She marks you down for the smallest things. I met with her to get tips on revising my paper and after following her tips she only raised me up one point. Avoid her if you can.

Vizio is VERY VERY picky. She knows what she likes and the three papers are very hard. She is a tough grader. A nice lady but a hard grader on the papers. It is prob impossible to get an A wit her grading style. Gives hw too on top of papers. Do not procrastinate! Start the papers ASAP! She is real tough. If you can get an easier teacher then do it

I'm currently taking her for Shakespeare. She is a good professor, but she changes the syllabus and due dates around every 2 weeks to a month, so you have to ask someone when something is due every week. Textbook use is high. I would NOT recommend buying them (7bks/4.99 ea.) you can just go to the library or any online place to read the plays.

to be honest she is a good professor, however she is very closed minded. I felt I couldnt use my own opinions in my paper without her trying to change them. she also was very harsh on the males in the class but was more easy going on the girls. If you are a guy I suggest you dont take the class.

I got in an argument with her, i questioned her on a point take away for an opinion and she belittled me and got pissed off. I worte a letter to her and the dean. She is the worst teacher ever. one of the hardest teachers I know. i took her because i needed the class. she is useless to help u, doesn't give you any answers or help with computing grade for overall class. had to do journals for each class, and if ur not on time, ull miss quizzes. she is very punctual and does quizzes at beginning of class. sometimes nice but mostly moody
