Since the day Majidul got tenure, his teaching methods got a lot worse. He only reads from a badly done powerpoint and doesnt add anything to it. When you go see him, he isn't at his office. He also rolls his eyes at you every time you ask a question. Its not for nothing that during exam season so one goes to his class. He can't teach.

If you find yourself with this teacher, don't even bother showing up to his classes. I had a relatively good grasp of the material and my grade reflected this, but this was no thanks to the teacher. If you manage to understand what he is actually saying, you will find that his thought process is extremely fragmented.

He's not very good at all. In fact, he's one of the worst I've ever had. What was covered in class represented such a small portion of what ended up on quizzes/exams. I had to learn through (as he suggested) reading the entire textbook and going to tutorials. Essentially, I didn't learn much from him at all. Would not recommend.

These are probably the worst lectures I've ever attended, he spends more time chasing people on their phones than teaching. He makes everything hard to understand so it doesn't make you want to stay (about 30/120 people in the class mid-semester). Accessible and almost understandable during office hours. Also, beware of the thick accent.

By far one of the best teachers I've had at Concordia. He's really nice and approachable, he loves helping his students. His exams and quizzes are not difficult if you attend his lectures and follow his advice about practicing. If you ever get the chance to have him as a professor, I highly recommend him for COMM 217.

In order to survive this course, you must do a lot of exercises! The teacher only covers theories in the book and barely does exercises. (Recommended to go to every tutorial sessions!)

Did not like his teaching style. He just re-states what the slides already say. Most of the class taught the subject on their own bc of that. Not the most approachable teacher either. He also has a thick accent so I highly suggest to sit at the front of the class to understand him better. He's got one thing going, the man is always smiling

As much as I wanted to connect with the Professor's enthousiastic personality, his thick accent and habit of going through powerpoints slides lost me. I found myself skipping class to study the material and make sense of it on my own. Will drop the class depending on my grade on the midterm.

very good teacher! a lot of reading is required for this class and the textbook is required (i took in the summer). his quizzes are very easy. funny and is very smart and knows a lot about accounting

Took in summer. His accent makes it hard to really catch important things. Doesn't like answering questions outside office hours.Strict on grading. Be organized & detail oriented. Is very passionate about the subject which makes class interesting. Exams aren't too difficult, but long. Read text book and practice A LOT & you'll do great with him.

Comment:

Teacher was interesting, power points were helpful.The teacher provides summary of the important points but reading on your own is the key to success.I personally focused on problems from outline and past finals and left the final confident of getting an A+, which I did. Work hard, that's all. Dont expect the teacher to teach you the whole book.
