Comment:

I am honestly so shocked I passed. All of his lab assignments were pretty easy Just a lot of work. However, his final is ridiculous. 130 questions that include pictures and fill in the blanks, and he chose the hardest structures to identify. He expects you to study the whole textbook for it. And I emailed him once and he was very rude to me lol.

I am historically an A student and this course will be my first ever B. Professor Germroth was unclear of what he expected in essays, had unprofessional feedback, and was not helpful when I emailed him asking for help.

This guy is not on your side. Do the work, make sure to ask a lot of questions, because like a lot of profs. if it's not perfectly what he wants you to say, he'll mark it off. I had a solid A (95%) in the class till the last two weeks when he decided to give me a 30% on an assignment I did fine on because it wasn't exactly like his. No re-submits

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I studied and did very well in the class but the 200 question final was NOTHING of what we actually learned. Will NEVER take him again! He doesnt care about the students.

I took his lecture class online for 2086. His assignments and tests are very easy, but the final is so hard. You have to get a 50% to pass and it sounds easy, but the final was not what I expected. His online class is easy but just be prepared for the final. The price for the access code was also expensive about $150 or more I cant remember.

I was hesitant to take the class with all the negative reviews. I would like to say that a lot of his demeanor is simply misunderstood. He's German. From Germany. Social norms are VERY different there. That said, his expectations are clear, and if you follow directions you will succeed. No shortcuts - put in the work, get the good grade.

To pass you need to read the text book, do the study guide, and study the slides. His lectures are useless but he gives a good outline of what you need to study. His tests are complicated because the questions are not straightforward knowledge. The questions require thinking and clear understanding

Comment:

Professor Germroth gives you good lectures, lots of homework, and provides a study guide before each test. In order to do the homework you need to read and study the book; if you get a lot of wrong answers in the homework, your grade goes down. Also be prepared for class (read the chapters ahead) because he will ask questions during lecture.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He speaks to you through email as though you're below him. He requires this "field trip" for lab that you have to wade through water, SO BRING WATER SHOES!!! And if you don't go, you have to go somewhere else and do it on your own. Proctored final, all other assignment/tests on your $125 and $80 access codes for lab and class.

I took this professor for an online course. He made us buy two online packages for over $200. One of the online packages that was over $100, he only made us use 3-4 times. Very sassy when it comes to emailing back. Felt like I could barely talk to him without him being sarcastic. I honestly would never take him again!

Hardest class, I wish I could have withdrawn. I spent days studying and preparing notes and the test were so hard I felt like I was reading them in a foreign language. Plus lots of stress on timed test with little time to even think about the answers. So disappointed!

this class should be 3 semesters (AP1&2) too much info in a short time. He gifted us with chances to improv our grade via extra credit, quizzes and graded HW. The HW was also good practice and quizzes were automatic 100% just for trying. I cant agree with many of the reviews. You get out of this what you put into it. Only take this if mandatory.
