I love her. She is gifted and students has to know and understand her rather than trying to change her mind!

She's an amazing professor. She's passionate about what she's teaching, and she's highly attentive to the needs of her students. I thoroughly enjoyed her class. Those who say that she's a fierce marker or that she's unaccepting of other opinions most likely haven't tried to defend their positions with her. She listens and cares.

She is a good prof--she knows her material well and is clearly well-read. I enjoyed her class (be prepared to frantically take notes for the entire class), and she is a difficult marker but if you work hard you will do fine. Sometimes she is a little tough to understand and speaks softly, but overall she's very comprehensive. Take her class.

There's good and bad. She's a teacher who is obviously passionate about what she teaches, and does know what she's tlking about. She does tend to be defensive of her own opinion, but if you challenge it intelligently, she will accept it, if not agree. Her tests I found easy, but she does mark quite hard on assignments, so be prepared.

When in Mannani's class you are duly entitled to her own opinion. She explains lecture concepts in a pretentious, convoluted, and at times historically incorrect way, is absorbed in her life's work (researching poetry), cares nothing for teaching, is snarly in class and office. To quote her:"This material is clearly too sophisticated for our class"

Way too defensive of her own opinion, often criticizes others', and doesn't like to be confronted. I wouldn't recommend her as a prof.

Manijeh was, by far, the greatest english professor i have encountered. She introduced language to my life. Her teachings inspired me to dig deeper into literature and unveil the complex personalities shrouded in it.

She didn't explain terms very well. Her final was really unfair and over-emphasized certain works. Her marking of essays is random and without reason.

Comment:
Manijeh does not like when people's opinions differ from hers - a tough prof to encounter in a literature class. Also, she rarely engages class in discussions and rarely asks students to express their opinions, instead she talks for 80 minutes straight, which makes the class rather boring.
