Comment:
If you want an easy A take him. His exams are pretty easy and you don't really have to do a lot of work. BUT he clearly shows no interest in teaching the class. He has that stuck up attitude "Econ 50 is too easy for me to teach." His office hours aren't helpful at all. He will give you that dirty look for asking to clarify something.

He's great! He makes a lot of jokes and is incredibly straightforward. If you can do the practice exam, you can do the actual exam. Really knows his stuff, and helps connect the material to the real world

If you like econ, he's not a bad intro class. He doesn't care a whole lot about the class, but you do learn your stuff.

He go through material so fast so it‘s kind of hard to follow. But there is not a lot of information. The material in class can be found on textbook. His homework (problem sets) due every week but it's easy.

Comment:
This is the class that made me decide not to be an Econ major. He simply could care less about the class and it shows. The answer keys on problem sets are disgraceful, since he doesn't give any explanations, and often even the answer is illegible. Exams really varied in toughness. I got a B+ in this class and it was still the bane of my existence

course material was straightforward and interesting and prof w's explanations were pretty good. but he definitely surprises you with difficult and tricky test questions. the multiple choice questions are a pain and even worse than the rest of the exams. almost everyone did poorly on the final, and their grade dropped as the semester went on...bad.

class was interesting and straightforewatd. he told a lot of jokes about college students being hungover 24/7 but whatever. I liked the class a lot because all problems could be solved by understanding the 3 or 4 graphs per chapter. I would take again given the chance.

Comment:
material was straightforward and easy, tests were very tricky and difficult, prof w enjoys throwing curveballs and phrasing test questions poorly to throw off students, tests are worth 85% of your grade and since he likes to be tricky and no straightforward on tests, the course can be quite difficult

Really straightforward material that is easy to grasp if you have any mathematical ability. You don't have to read the text to get a decent grade just go to class and take good notes. Homework assignments are helpful and exams are challenging only at some parts and for the most part straightforward. Hightly reccommended

Great Teacher. At first i was having alot of trouble understanding the concepts but his graphs and explanations behind them made it more clear for me. He really takes time out of his schedule to help students. If youre a visual learner he's definitely the teacher for you! Hes also just a really nice guy in general. I recommend taking him.

He's kind of odd, and tells the same jokes over again, but I found the class interesting. The most important thing is to memorize the graphs and make sure to understand them.

def a dork, hard tests, does not grade easy, doesn't clarify the answer when you ask a question, will not help out when you have trouble, or had trouble, with a concept. make sure you label ALL CHARTS!!! marks off random point values.

Made classes interesting. The jokes showed that he didn't mind being looked at funnily. The best thing was he had a core set of stuff he wanted you to take out of the class, so he emphasized that. I feel like I know the basics now. Hard tests.

If you have to take econ 50 Weidenmier is probably easier than most of the other profs. He gives you printouts of his power point lectures and practice tests for the midterms and final. He also tries to be funny too.
