Dr. M is the kind of prof you want if you are serious about college. She is deeply read on her subject & respected internationally (Harvard grad). That said, she can be a bit short in class, but don't take it personally and she respects students who argue back. She loves fearless students who do the reading and show it by participating in class.

Dr. Menninger is a very funny gal (although her sarcastic humour may not be for everyone) & she cares deeply about her students. There are quite a few assignments & they are tough sometimes, but she gives a lot of extra She is almost always open to meeting with you outside of class. She is a Harvard graduate, & it was a pleasure being taught by her

A very challenging professor. I respect her as an academic. I don't know that she is a great professor. The class calls for soooooo much reading and then she gets mad if you come to class not ready to discuss it. Class is solely discussion based. She can sometimes be very rude and will even argue with students. Very sarcastic and not very helpful

Dr. M is a wonderful professor. Students who want an intellectually stimulating course and quality, substantive feedback should take her course. Sure, her writing comments might initially seem harsh, but if you read her notes, she genuinely cares about her students improving.

The absolute worst professor I have ever had. I have never met a more rude teacher in my life. She is the type of professor that will take a subject you love and make you absolutely hate it. I wouldn't take her again if my life depended on it. I've made all A's in college and I'll be lucky if I make a C

I absolutely LOVE dr.m. She's is sarcastic & a bit harsh so if you offend easily don't take her class. She challenges you, but establish a relationship & she will help you out as much as possible. Read the book, come to class & participate in discussions, & you will do extremely well

not the nicest person, she is on the rude side. She becomes upset if you don't understand something but hey that's what she is there for to help clarify and teach, but she is hard and cold.

Class lectures are set around topics, not chronologies, but it is required a general and chronological understanding for exams. Be detail oriented and mostly articulated in defending your position in your essays (in-class exams & research papers). Professor has great knowledge of topic (and outside too) - IF YOU WORK HARD, YOU'LL BE FINE!

In this upper division course I took with her on European history, she is a very big egoist and she feels your input really doesn't matter. I didn't feel helped by her at all, and this might just be my preference but her lectures are not chronological they are kind of all over the place. She is also a very rude person thus hard to seek help from.

National Socialism class. Fantastic professor! Very hard and very worth it. I learned more from her than any professor I have had. Very thorough and expects a lot. YOU MUST READ! I would take any class from Dr. M. If you are not prepared school beyond high school, don't take this class.

Prone to gossip about students behind their back. I enjoyed the course, but her choice of textbook was poor, and her constant squinting whenever she addressed a student got annoying. Wish she would act like a real person and not an 'academic'. Not personable, but very intelligent. Wouldn't take another class with her, but I'd recommend it.

Fantastic professor! I changed majors mid-semester, which made her class obsolete but I refused to drop it! She is hard, but, this is also an upper level course! Tests are easy if you do the study guide; my God, she GIVES you the questions she'll be asking! I highly recommend her class!

A professor that not only pushes you to new limits, but one that takes a genuine interest in both her students and her subject. Don't expect an easy A. She is demanding, but if you are up for the challenge, take her class. Do your reading! Prepare for class!

This was by far the hardest class I have ever taken... And one of the most fun. She's hard, but an excellent teacher, funny, and very willing to help if you actually want help, not the answer. Expect a bit of eccentricity and a lot of work, but you will learn, guaranteed.

Here's the deal. College is not the 13th Grade. She expects her students to be able to analyze a topic, formulate an idea, and support it with facts. Her quizzes require basic reading comprehension, and her lectures are relevant, interesting and funny. If you plan on a degree in History, take her.

I have taken Dr Menninger for three classes. All of them were challenging, even Western Civ.However, she makes them very interesting.Dr M is a wealth of knowledge and that only became more apparent when I had her for Senior Seminar. She knows something about everything.Very funny and Meryl Streep hot.Don't regret taking her a bit despite my grades.

One of the worst teachers I've had. She really enjoys what she is talking about but when you ask for help she is kind of rude. I am a history major and after her class I want to change my major. test are hard and so are quizzes. Also quizzes are worded in the most confusing way possible so even if you study they are hard to pass.
