Comment:

Gives 10 pop quizzes over the semester on the powerpoints that he is about to go over in class that day. 3 absences, regardless of death, sickness, etc. No laptops, phones, watches, food or drink (including water). Absolutely will not let you make anything up. Doesn't allow students to leave class for bathroom or anything, including emergencies.

Really not a fan of this teacher. He doesn't cooperate with his students and just wants you to sit in class and listen. His attendance policy is EXTREMELY strict so I hope you don't miss more then 3 classes. Also there is no make ups in his class. Pretty good class though, difficult teacher, I would not recommend, but that's just my opinion.

Dr Jones is a very funny professor, he makes many jokes during the class and will challenge your pov if you disagree with him, but its all in good fun. No text book and only 3 tests and 4 pop quizzes which usually follow one of the very few assigned online readings. Overall you should take this class as one of your CJ electives. fairly easy A.

Dr. Jones is very blunt, savage, and can be quite condescending. But the class is absolutely hilarious. JUST 4004 is not very hard and is a super interesting topic. In reality Jones is actually a pretty nice guy. He is just very entertaining in class. Definitely recommend taking 4004.

Great teacher. I enjoyed his lectures and his class was very easy. Quizes every friday but that was it..open book open note....he was a very blunt person but that is another reason why i liked him. I would definatly take him.

Decent professor... makes you read every page of the text and his favorite quote is "anything in the text is fair game for the exam." Kinda funny and really does tell it like it is. Does spend a lot of time bashing other professors.

Wow. We have some really lazy Justice Majors at ECU by reading these posts. Dr. Jones is not hard, he expects exactly what you will spend the rest of your life doing, being on time, showing up, and doing what is asked of you. This is my second time having him and never had a problem. Highly suggested.

Dr. Jones is rude, plain and simple. He'll bash one class to another, he'll rag on other professors, teaches randomly and off the wall. Read the book that's my only suggestion. And don't get paired with people who won't pull their weight in the project, because he grades on the presentation and not the effort you put into it.

I know that there are alot of bad comments about him on here but really its probably b/c some people cant handle the truth. Dr. Jones is the best teacher I have ever had, he tells you exactly like it is whether you like it or not. He sugarcoats nothing, do the work and you will be fine. I would recommend him to everyone who can handle the truth!!!!

Not a diffifcult class if you read. The quizzes are not easy and you MUST read the chapter completely before attempting them online. His tests were pretty straightforward. He tries to be humerous, but he's really not. Just study your notes and look over out of class readings and you should be ok.

I personally think that the class wasn't that bad. He states exactly what he wants and what expects out of you, so it is really all about how self-motivated you are to do the work. I have a child, a part-time job and I was still able to get an A in the class.

Despite the negative comments, Dr. Jones was not hard at all. He tells us what he expects in the syllabus and it is all about following directions. Some people want an easy way out and do not want to work, but honestly please do not be discouraged about the class because he is not hard at all. I have learned alot even though it was an online course

Has to be the worst teacher I have EVER had. Very unhelpful and not willing to set clear guidelines. And forget about talking to him about a test you will just get asked to leave his office! Very demanding class especially if you are doing an internship. Some topics can be quite disturbing and the paper topics were a joke.

Despite all of the negative comments about Dr. Jones on this website, I took the man and had no problem out of him what so ever. Has a good sense of humor, and if you can't take a joke, or missed class, then yeah you probably didn't like him!! He expects everyone to participate. If you can handle those three things, you will be ok in his class.

Make sure you're participating in within your discussion group. Just because it's a online; don't assume it's going to be easy. If you don't have the time--don't take this class. It requires a lot of work and time. If he asks for minimum of pages it would be in your best interest to give him 1 more.
